theres still alot of work to be done in my oppinion. I just want to say that this title is one of the biggest upgrades Ive seen in a sports title in a very long time. Ive played 45 games in my franchise and ive never had so much fun plays a NBA basketball game. I think If they put the same amount of work next year as they did with this version we could truly have something special. Ive heard alot of good suggestions of things that need to be improved from posters on this forum and others can add thier oppinions as well on what they would live to see added or taken out for next years version and hopefully EA will listen to us.
-As mentioned in OS review even though game speed has been turned down, it still plays a very quick game. From timeouts, to deadballs you have harldy enought time to get your subs in.Also When you get rebounds with you big man your pg is already down the court which leaves your big man having to bring the ball up or throw the ball all the way down the court. PG should be waiting for the ball off a rebound.
2- Also mentioned in the OS review, double teams happen way to much in the post. Its not a game killer but can be annoying. There should be a rating system that post player with a high skill level in the post get doubled or if a player like Ben Wallace hits a couple of shots in a row then there should be double teams until hes cooled off.
3-I liked to see rebounding and passing improve. With Rebounding there should be more battles to get the ball and animations. The problem with the passing game in my oppinion is everything is a bullet pass. Even lob passes feel way to fast. Niether one of these problems are game killers but something Id like to see improved.
4-Id like to see the fast break improved. I know you can fast break in this games but its hard to hit players in strides and they never fill the lanes. Also the pro hop is something that should be toned down not for players like Kobe or T-mac but for guys who have trouble taking the ball to the basket.
5-Id like to see the post game really improve next year. I think Live has the best post game of all the titles.It also feels like your battling in the post to move your player however i think it can improve. They added freestyle to improve the perimter game, freestyle should be implemented for the post as well. More shoulder fakes,head fakes, pivot moves ect. Also when you start your backdown you should have the option what type of shot you use to score. Example once you start backing down the Triangle button becomes a jumphook, cirlce button becomes a up and under move and so on.
6- My biggest complaint in this game and somthing that to me is a very big dissapointment is the franchise mode. Nothing has changed with this mode for last 5years its the same thing. I think they have to borrow a page out of Espn college hoops. In that game as you know you can play with the recruits. We should be allowed to do the same. We should be allowed to work players out during predaft camps in shooting drills,defensive drills and so on. You should also be able to scrimmage against other players that are working out. Training camp shouldn't be a little clip of your players working out, you should be able to play through the modes, shooting drills ect. Free agency should be more then just handing out money. They could use a system similar to NCAA football. Entice the player to want to play on your team. Team prestige, chance to be number 1 option,location and so on.
7- Id like to see presentation improved. I mentioned before i think getting the TNT license would do wonders for this game and would rival Espns license. If not they could call it the EA Sports Network. I think there should be more analysis during pregame, talk about what we have to do in order to win, have player intros, more stat overlays during the course of the game and especially during timeouts, also during timeouts they should talk about whats going in the game and suggestions on what to do. Late in games they should mention getting the ball in the hands of a specific superstar and so on just like they do during a real broadcast. Theres so many things they could improve on in this area.
Most of these things aren't game killers just a little tweaking here and there, give us better franchise mode and I think we'll have the basketball game ever next year.
