    Re: Points off the break...

to stop the breaks you gotta turn off crashing boards. If you have it on ya players will all go for the rebound leaving the guards at the top ready to run up the score on ya

That makes sense, although it sounds like a hole in the AI...

Anyway, turn it off completely, not even on Auto?

yeah u gotta turn it off completely and it's not a hole in the ai it's basketball except for that the pg shouldn't be crashing but i guess that's how ea think's it is suppose to be but yes turn it off becuase if u keep it on auto your team might crash when you don't want to. I tend to crash only when i play a team that doesn't like to run so make sure you check the scouting reports at the beginning of the games.

No offense...but I'm not THAT clueless about hoops...

When three of the opposing players streak downcourt when I release a shot, and their counterparts on my own team not only fail to crash the boards, but also stand around and watch them jet downcourt...that's a hole in the AI.

Now that I've switched to Baseline High and Pressbox camera, I can move them manually to catch the break. Also, slowing down the game speed has helped.

I've found that the angle of the Pressbox cam makes it easier to determine where you are in relation to the backboard, as well...fewer shots clanging off the bottom of the rim, or behind the backboard...

I guess Pressbox is the one for me.

I also like the Pressbox camera. It seems to open up the court more, and I can see plays develop. Again though, I can't stress how much a difference it makes in stopping the fast break if you take control of the PF or C on the rebound and run him back. The CPU AI will help you out slowing down the Guards and SF (the point guard will get picked up at half court), and the PF and C NEVER run out on the break. This gives you that extra man, and all but eliminates CPU fast breaks...
