I know many have posted about the concern for variety in offensive styles...
But what about defense? Do teams press? Do teams better at man or zone defense play that way? Doesn't autoswitch mean that it's possible a team might play any possible style of D? I know that with my D set on autoswitch, sometimes my players will press when we are down late in the game...but has anyone seen this type of Situational Defense played by the CPU?
After about 30 games on All-star and Superstar, I have yet to see the CPU do a press of any sort, even when I was up. Usually they just play a ball-hawking half-court defense where they double team me (quite effectively) on drives to basket or when I put the ball in the hands of my star and move closer to the basket (not a drive all the way to the hoop but getting close enought for say, a 10-14 footer). They do retreat quite well out of the double team when I pass the rock off...or someone else comes over to guard the man left open from the double, a type of "help D" perfomed better by some teams than others.

One-on-one pressure on my ball handler as I bring it up from one side of court to the other (originally I put this under the wrong column)
