This is true in all genres of video games.
When I constantly see how much a game is adding or improving it gives me confidence in that product.
Having regular patches and NOT releasing patch notes just leaves your customers guessing (and often seeing things that aren’t there) and actually sells all of the devs’ hard work short.
I hope EA can be detailed and transparent with all of their patches this season.
Even if it is things like:
- fixed player x face
- changed player x hair
- new round of commentary updated
- enhanced sweat effect (I wish lol)
It makes you look professional and both you existing customers and potential customers will appreciate it.
