Time to do away with 1 on 1 match-ups:

Okay, this is 2009 boys and girls! We finally did it. We've got 5 on 5 working (somewhat) on both of the powerhouses of basketball gaming (Live and 2k, of course.) Guess what? It's time to do away with the 1 on 1 matchup online and start building the game to take advantage of purely 5 on 5 play. I want to see stats kept and rankings done that way. Not only through stats, but by some sort of PER.

You might say, well, there aren't always going to be enough people online to play 5 on 5! Well, that is true in some cases. However, that's no problem because the computers would be ready for it. It might even be a 1 on 1 matchup, but it would still be in a 5 on 5 setting. Dig? By getting rid of all of these scrubs working for the all star tourney or working to get their rank up on EA, I bet that would clear up major bandwidth.

Sure, there is offline, and that can be whatever. But there should be no playing online 1 on 1 anymore! Think about it, basketball is 5 on 5. The only reason they invented 1 on 1 was because having 10 people at your house, and enough controllers (not to mention the earliest multitaps didn't even support 10 controllers) was very implausible.

LETS MOVE ON TO THE NEXT GENERATION!

You think I say this sht for my health, no. I am a hardcore basketball gamer. I wanna see some advancement. There is so much more that can be done... EASILY.
