Some of the roster crap is annoying, but if you get the update, it really quite good! I highly recommend this game. But, if your a major roster guy and need everything perfect, and you dont have XBL. then maybe it not for you. If you can live with rosters at 90%, you should love it.

4. Graphics are not poor. Before they move (i.e. player models and resolution) they are better than Live. The frame rate is also better than Live but ID needs work on the animation. Yes ESPN is the pick of them all, while Live, despite the graphics being pretty average, has very good animation and by far the most variety.
5.Not poor sound but at least one of the commentators is annoying because he calls it like an arcade game at times... 'sorry charlie' 'boink' 'buzz' etc... It's annoying because there are so many other good comments and the 3 man team works very well. The sound effects are fine and the crowd and atmosphere is good enough too. ESPN has boring and buggy commentary (Iverson takes it up the court and has only hit four of his last three from downtown... any many, many other bugs like that). Live has very good commentary, the best I'd say but it seems to have the least amount of variety though.
7.Gameplay...as far as real plays, team styles, pace, movement etc...yes ID is number one there. But gameplay is also the amount of (real) moves you have at your disposal and ID doesn't let you pass out of dunks or layups (like Live and ESPN) and doesn't give you control over adjusting your own shot (Like Live and ESPN). It also has in my opinion, very generic spins and crossovers that sometimes work and sometimes don't which isn't very involving, at least not as much as ESPN's isomotion or Live's Freestyle. The post game is only slightly above average too. It has better and more moves than ESPN and is more fun in that sense but the backing down in ESPN is the best of the lot. Live has a heap of controllable moves in the post but the backing is more like sliding.
So every game has good and not so good points. Personally I just give the overall edge to ID this year and have given up on the other two (I now own all three...).
Good luck, have funComment

Mostly when you want to show off. Barely anytime during a real game. Most times a player drives and kicks it out before ever attempting a layup.Comment
