I tried to do the exact real trade and it says that I am volitating my cost limit.

Why don't you just go into sign & trade and release him from the Blazers and sign him to Detroit. Thats what I did with all the updated trades, etc for all of the players. If it says that you can only have 15 players per team just release/sign an unknown/seldom used player from the roster and continue.

I just did what you said and it let me do that but when I start the season, it's telling me that I am voliating my cost limit. Doesn't make sense.
