After waching the 2 games today me and a couple of friends of mine had a debate on who was better at their best. And I just wanted to know what you guys think.

It would be good if you tell us what players since we weren't at your house when the discussion was going on. I'm sure you will edit, so before you do, I say Jordan was

Why is McDyess in this poll. Dwight and Amare aren't in their prime yet, so how can we tell. Kemp wins by default.

HAHA. Dwight is still a kid and Amare is not in his prime yet.

Because he was a 20 and 10 guy around 96-01 until the injury that is.

I suggest though you replace Amare and Dwight with Grant Hill and Stackhouse or something.

Dwight and Amare are still in their early years. And Amare is making it unfair to gaurd him with that jumpshot he has developed out of nowhere.

Without a doubt, Kobe is the best perimeter player of our time. (yes, repeat thread)

I would have to say that once Howard reaches his prime it will be him. He is an absolute beast.

Re: Who was better in their prime?

At least two of those guys have not yet reached their prime. One (McDyess) might have gotten there for about a year or two maybe, before the injuries. Like someone said, Kemp wins by default.

                    Shawn Kemp
                    Vin Baker
                    Derrick Coleman
                    Cliff Robinson

                    How about that?
                    PS: You guys are great.

                        kemp was a beast man.

you guys don't give him enough credit, a lot of you probably didn't watch him in his prime.

Where'd that come from? Out of 37 votes, Kemp has 29. That's enough credit.

Re: Who was better in their prime?

As mentioned by most of you guys, this poll really doesn't make much sense by reasons already mentioned. Kemp was waaaaay better than McDyess when comparing both guys primes.

And for the other two guys, Amare is my favourite player in the NBA but I think that Howard has a chance to become the better of the two IF he improves his very raw and mechanical offensive skills. He still has ways to go with his post skills and mid range shot, but he still can get 17 a night, and thats pretty impressive. His defense also needs a little bit of improvement, but he's better than Amare in that regard and is also a monster of a rebounder.

Then again, Amare has improved defensively as the season has progressed, but he still needs to rebound better, and usually, thats a skill that isnt improved greatly through a player's career. If he adds a back to the basket game and continues to improve his already decent mid range shot, he could be absolutely unstopable.

                              Gotta go with Shawn Kemp.
