What, he threw away a few mill he was LEGALLY ENTITLED to, but he doesn't want to waste his last good years which is why he jumped ship at memphis. Do you think the memphis players care that he's gone? He only had a handful of practices/games with those guys, they care more about him taking their minutes, so please spare me the 'he bailed on his team mates' diatribe.

              Won't say you're wrong.

Basically, he wants to be a winner. I never doubt that about him. But only if he is the main cog. The main reason for the winning. Except, he is willing to lift his leg on anybody or any situation to have it his way.

                ...and went to New York.

He's going to waste until his ego either makes him retire or he stems his ego and he comes off the bench.

Knicks would only do this if it is for an expiring contract.

Knicks arent going to take on anything that is going to jeopardize free agency.

A.I. isnt going to really "help" the Knicks..and the Knicks dont really care. If he sells a few more tickets, merchandise, and entertains some folks, great.

A.I. can help himself, more then anything..sicne he will pretty much have the green light to shoot at will.

I said this a couple posts after I made that post of mine you quoted. Which is why I think he's going to sign with the Knicks.

Other than the fact the Knicks are probably the only team that will sign him right now(there will be reports of other teams that are 'interested' but they won't sign him), he's going to use this as a way to show the other teams in the league he can still contribute and not be a distraction, which will lead to him being traded to a contending team for 'cash considerations' or an expiring.

Re: AI/Grizzlies agree to terminate contract

it would seem stupid of the knicks to sign AI if they didn't intend to keep him . trading for an expiring would not benefit the knicsk at all. AI would already be an expiring contract and trading him for a larger one makes no difference when you're already under the cap. so either the knicks want to keep him where during that time AI can showcase his talent to a contending team, hoping one of those contenders will part with some young talent to get AI..but that's a stretch. all signs point to the knicks actually wanting to keep him. otherwise it's a lot of hassle for no benefit.

i actually can see a situation where some of the teams who wanted AI but didn't have cap space offer the knicks someone on a rookie contract for AI . good move for the knicks either way

Formula for curtains to a career:

(Chucker + Shot Clock Killer/Chemistry cancer) + Waived by Memphis + No Interest from 2009 Knicks = Done.

Well there goes my theory lol.

I guess from here it's either retire or wait a few months and hope an injury happens to a contender and that team becomes interested.

Its bad when your career has been reduced to as Kenny Smith says "A Gun For Hire"

How many signs does it take man? I dont think he should've ever spoke those start or retire words into existence
