I think new jersey goes for the record this year. I feel they have regress and have actually gotten worse, except for acquiring troy murphy

I don't know why you think the Knicks are THAT much better than us, when there really isn't that big of a gap between the two because now you're just talking out your *** everytime you try to pretend like you know this team when you don't.

You can have a terrible coach and a terrible team

Saying Phil couldn't take them anywhere either doesn't exactly mean Kurt is immune from criticism.

I was never a fan of him when he took over for LA that one year. He seems like a passive and ho hum kinda personality. That's fine if you can reach your players in other ways and/or have superior X's and O's. He doesn't strike me as either one of those.

What makes you say he's a fine coach?

The Knicks were 17 games better than the nets last year. They've added Amar'e, Randolph, Felton and have another year of experience for their younger players. Knicks should definitely be a better team and improve by at least eight games, hopefully 15 games. Just going by the basic performances of the teams, people should expect the Knicks to perform better than the Nets this year.

That having been said, I also expect the Nets to be better than they were last year, and not get anywhere near the record. Also don't think the Cavs will be anywhere near historically bad, unless I missed something in the offseason. Williams, Parker, Jamison and Andy can get wins against weak teams consistently.

I am getting persuaded to believe that Minnesota will compete for the worst record of all time. In the West, theoretically the easiest team they will play 4 times is Golden State. Assuming good health, no team after that is even considered a win for them. If they were in the bottom of the East, it might be a little better but they are a Kevin Love injury away from being completely ******.

if you check last years prediction thread you'll see that i predict the outcome of last year. Knicks had a way better record than the nets last year, plus on top of that the knicks actually improved so thats why i think there's a gap there.

and just so you don't think im talking out my *** I'll show you the posts

I don't think any team will get the record, but it anyone gets close to it, it will probably be the T-Wolves. They seem to be the only team that never actually gets better during the offseason.

With Curry, Monta and Lee, Goldenstate isn't necessarily a lock for them either

Again, like it's been mentioned numerous times, other than Amar'e playing the 4 for ya'll, if we look at the 2 teams from top to bottom, there isn't THAT much of a difference between the 2 teams at all. Unless folks on here really think Vince Carter(the same VC who's been getting dogged on here all year) is worth 22 wins by himself since this is still basically the same from the year before?

We've also added other players as well in Farmar, Favors, Outlaw and Murphy and our younger players will also have a year of experience as well(Williams, Lopez)and that's not even taking Coaching into consideration but yet people(not you of course)think we'll be worse than last year?

at most you guys win 25 games imo... if you had them winning 35 last year i guess you expect them to win 50 this year.
