Who is better, Derek Fisher or John Stockton?

Who is better, Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain?

I'm going to have to say Stockton then Bill.

I hope you understand what you are saying is ridiculous since Stockton cared about winning and teamwork, along with putting up good stats. He just didn't have a chance to win since the best player at the time, Michael Jordan, was dominating the league and winning championships.

Just like the best player during the Wilt/Russell era prevented Wilt from winning. And that player was Bill Russell.

But Derek Fisher isn't better than John Stockton, simply because your on a championship team doesn't mean you are better than someone who is not.

i hope you're joking instead of trying to prove a point with sarcasm.

Maybe Russell didn't care about stats because he had no choice, he wasn't as good. He played on the better team in a league that was small and top heavy (boston was by far the most loaded team in Russell's era), the 9 championships are the most overrated stat in the NBA. It's like how the Yankees won something like 20 of their championships when they were the only big team back then in the early 1900's and had 95% of the talent on their roster.
All I can say is, when I was younger, the old men who saw them play seemed to be more split on who was better. But as time have moved forward and every sports talk discussion is about rings, the goal posts seemed to have been retroactively moved in Bill Russell's favor.

Going off subject here...but the Yankees did not win "like 20 of their championships when they were the only big team back then in the early 1900's and had 95% of the talent on their roster." They won their first title in 1923 and their twentith in 1962. And they for sure did not have 95% of the talent on their roster.

Lemme guess.... none of them get any respect either. God I'm so sick of that too.

Actually I did, but not during his heyday with Philly. I caught Wilt during the Laker years when they played my Knicks in three NBA Finals. Wilt was to me what Jordan is to you young cats.
