The Celtics have offered Paul Pierce to the Blazers, according to a report from ESPN. It is unclear who Boston sought in return.

The Blazers are not interested due to the $32 million remaining on Pierce's contract over the next two seasons.

Portland is preserving their cap flexibility with the hopes of re-signing Nicolas Batum this offseason.

If they could unload Pierce, that would mean over $50MM would come off the books for the C's when Allen, Garnett and O'neal's contracts expire. They could go nuts in the offseason if they can ship The Truth.

The NY Daily News is reporting it's close as well....

WTF does Portland want with Steve Blake and why are they giving Crawford away for free??? LMAO

Either that or he thinks he works for the Lakers

Seriously though, it takes a set of brass ones to go to a team looking for big time players for Javale McGee.

I love Blake's improvement this year, but yeah, I'll take the pothead for Blake, please.

If they use Bynum properly, and don't forget about Pau... LA should be a fringe contender. On paper they honestly still have no excuse not to be, regardless of how bad their bench is.

Too bad your PG's are trash...

Perhaps you'd like Sessions for a first round pick?

                    I'd prob do it.

Goudelock will finally get consistent PT now. I have a good feeling about the kid at least in a full time back up role.

In this draft though, you could find a rotation player no matter where your selection is in the first round.

While Steve Nash has had an excellent season at the age of 38, the Suns are on the outside of the Western Conference playoff picture.

Yea, Beasley is very underated player in my opinion plus the Lakers could use a SF. He would easily start over Metta and Barnes. Then they could sign PG Gilbert Arenas who is drawing interest from the Grizzlies as well or settle for Andrew Goudelock who is playing all-around good ball. The point is they hopefully won't have to waste a 1st round pick.

Word is Beasley would be coming off the bench, which makes alot of sense. with Goudy and Beasley on the second unit, that would make our bench much better.

i would love to sign Arenas too! my brother will never even sniff a victory in 2k when i play with my Lakers!! hahahahaha

Fact is Beasley can play the 4, and anything that negates minutes from Troy Murphy is a + in my book. Ron does his thing, Barnes is strong off the bench. I'm with it, till the whole Steve Blake thing comes into play. Sure there's more to it, will wait and see.

And so the Duhwight saga continues... for another season?

Jarrod Rudolph: In an exclusive interview Dwight Howard has confirmed to me that he will in opt-in and stay in Orlando for at least another year. Twitter
Howard said that he plans on signing the ETO waiver first thing on Thursday morning. He also plans on making some internal changes to ensure this situation isn't repeated in the future. "I have gotten some bad advice," Howard said. "I apologize for this circus I have caused to the fans of our city. They didn't deserve none of this. I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. I will do whatever I can to make this right and do what I was put in Orlando to do." RealGM
Howard confirmed to RealGM on Wednesday evening that he will terminate his early termination option and stay in Orlando for at least another year. He also realizes the impact that his indecision has caused and wants to make things right in the city that has watched him grow both professionally and personally since he came into the NBA in 2004 as the first overall pick. "Man, listen, you know my heart, my soul and everything I have is in Orlando," Howard told RealGM. "I just can't leave it behind." RealGM
