Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
We've basically known that since the first 5 games. Boeheim's been saying it all year and Waiters hasn't been to class in 2 or 3 months. Disappointed because I don't think he's ready, nor do I think he's going to end up being successful in the league. He was one of our worst players on the team for the majority of the season. He turned it up at the right time though (besides the Ohio State game obviously).
Edit: I expect that Fab Melo will make the jump as well despite the fact that he obviously had a bad ending to his season and that he isn't even close to ready.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 03-25-2012, 11:19 PM.NFL: Bills

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Feb Melo will get drafted in the 2nd round. I agree that he's no where near ready for the league. NOW, if he goes into the right situation he could go the way of DeAndre Jordan.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Yea.
he's proved that he's still immature and can't work on the things that need to be worked on.
I commend him for losing all that weight tho from last season.
I say he should stay and get a education
But that won't happenPSN: MajorJosephxComment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
So this Anthnoy Davis guy is the next big thing. When a SF has a 5 inch growth jump. You have a scary player.
But again... guys I don't believe in Harrison Barnes one bit. He is not a top 5 player. I just don't see what other people are talking about. Marvin Williams 2.0Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Harrison Barnes would do well to stay in another year.
He needs to learn some go to moves before anyone would draft him in the top ten. I think if he does declare and gets drafted in the top ten, some team will be very disappointed with him.Too Old To Game Club

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Barnes I think can peak out to be a Joe Johnson type player. Which is not bad. However, you expect more from him then you'll probably be highly disappointed.
If Anthony Davis can get that mid range shot down in the pros, he'll be KG 2.0.
Not sure why Jared Sullinger stock has been dropping BUT he can be a mid-first round steal for a team that needs a big.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Arron Affallo 2.0 to me and that's the best case scenario.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
I think Harrison Barnes stock is the lowest right now, but during the draft workouts he will rise up the boards by going head to head with the other prospects. Not because his game improved, but because having a < 2 dribble pullup jumper game works really well in half court 3 on 3, 2 on 2, 1 on 1 games. You dont get exposed for lack of ballhandling until its more defenders on the court and you have to adjust and maneuver around them. And he probably could post up those other players and shoot fadeaways on them
He still will be just as limited but will be drafted high (gm's are dumb)
Unrelated spoiler is related
Spoileras a complete sidenote this is a direct evaluation of my basketball game right now, all the athleticism is gone, im a two dribble shooter at this point AND IT SUCKS.Ericmaynor3.com

Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
Thomas Robinson will definitely be a lottery pick because this guys has an NBA type body. However, his success will be measured on his skill development because he's a very raw player. Yes, scoring against college level power forwards works for him now because he's bigger OR more athletic than most of his opponents. When he gets to the pros, he'll find that most of the PF's he's gonna face is stronger and more skilled than Robinson. I don't see him doing much his first two years BUT he gets under the right situation he could be a very serviceable player in the league.
Tyshawn Taylor will be lucky to get drafted. He's a very outstanding player defensively BUT just is not enough of an offensive threat on the pro level. Maybe he could start out in the D-League and improve his offensive game then maybe we'll see him in a teams rotation.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Re: 2012 NBA Draft Discussion
I don't think Thomas Robinson is that raw of a player, especially in comparison to other bigs in this class (Drummond, PJIII). He may lack a perimeter game but I think he'll develop a decent midrange shot. He's tenacious, big, and physical and that will bode well for him in the league. I'm curious about how he'll measure in the combine.
Tyshawn will get drafted just because the PG class is shallow this year. I don't think he's a pure PG though and I question his ability to run an offense in the NBA. He's also been pretty turnover prone this year.
Also, I'm not impressed with Barnes either. I don't think he's that athletic, I don't think he can create his own shot either.[NYK|DAL|VT]
