I didn't see the last two Memphis games, but it's obvious that the refs are missing or not calling a lot of violations throughout the league. Unfortunately, I really don't think there is a concrete solution. An NBA ref may possibly be the most dispised profession in America.
No matter where they go they get called out by fans of each team and the actual two teams who are doing battle. I was at a Blazer/Mav game last night and I heard fans yell out things like "Let them play" (Translation: Don't call fouls commited by home team) to "You blind idiots" (Translation: Call all incidental contact that occurs on missed Field Goal Attempts by the home team).
On top of the fans, they also have to deal with the actual players who are constantly trying to get an edge debating in their ears and exaggerating contact with flops and "the shotgun slug to the back reaction" on drives or jumpers. I don't know what the remedy could be.
