Kwame = 13 ppg & 8 boards, 1 blk, 1 stl, shooting 51% in 13 January games. This year, halfway thru, has surpassed number of 10 + rebound games, and number of double doubles. Everyone says hes a bust, but if u look at stats, hes improving each year, and i believe 2-3 years from now, we'll look back and wonder how we called him a bust. Anyway, he should finish the year avg 12 & 8, right now hes avg 10 & 7. Kwame stats (check out bottom for home & january #s)

Dont get me wrong, I think that he will be great, and I think it will happen while he is on another team. I think the Wiz will give up on him. Im not sure if hell be at JO's level, but he will be a great player

My point was that the original poster was making a big deal about 1 game, granted it was against the best big man in the east, but it was one game. If he put up a couple of games like that, then ill be impressed

Well Wizards did extented his contract before the season!!
If he gets more consist I don't see not in a Wizards uniform!!

Well, I was at this game and although Kwame's had big numbers they were very quiet numbers. He will be a great player in a couple of years, but as for now I still think he plays a bit too soft..He had a number occassions in this game where he could have made statements with an emphatic throw down but he chose to double clutch alot of shots trying to avoid contact(the positive is that he got to the foul line where half of his pts came from). But hats off to the home team....

I dont think hes shying away from contact. I think he tries to draw contact because hes one of the best ft shooters the wizards have.

                              2 big things

                              1. I always thought he would blow up on another team, but now, im not so sure the wiz will let him go. I still think the wiz worst decision wasnt drafting kwame, it was extending stack, tied with trading for him (lost hubert davis, a hometown quality shooter who went to my HS). basically, whether or not he becomes big with the Wiz is dependent on how much stack, gilbert, and larry are willing to let go of the ball.

                              2. He will be closer to jamison than JO.

btw, great article on ESPN tells why hes stepping up now and at the same time says why he has a ways to go. link
