New York should blow it up now before it gets worse. Amar'e isn't playing with any type of want to, it's like his desire is gone. Melo has had some bad games, because no one else is playing with any effort and it's weighing him down. Tyson just isn't what he should be and these fake injuries ever other game is showing the lack of wanting to play for New York. So with your whole team feeling and expressing their displeasure it seems it's time to blow it up.

New Orleans just lost Davis for the season. Plus Eric Gordon is Taking time away from Tyreke Evans which is slowing down their offense, getting rid of Gordon will open the court for more players to make plays, because Gordon's a black Whole. They have a need for someone in the post while Anderson is firing 3's, Amar'e is a perfect fit, in addition it would probably show his All-Star caliber self for the first time in 3 seasons.

Oklahoma City has a big lack of defense in the post, Perkins is long in the tooth so why not try to better your team, especially seeings how the team is regarded as potential NBA Champions. This transaction would put them in the Western Conference Finals for sure.

76ers need anything right now with 4 players out for the season or most of the season, they need a restart fast. Who better to go with Hawes and Carter-Williams than Melo? 76ers would give up a 1st Rounder for the upcoming draft but they have 2 more to spare. They wouldn't be giving up much other than Evan Turner, which is a hindrance to the 76ers offense, because since Iguodala left he feels the need to do to much which he's not good at doing.

Hawks well this trade is nothing more than a swap of Shumpert for a draft pick even though the Knicks would get Mack and Scott, but they would get cut. The Hawks would get better at perimeter D and a player that can slow down LeBron and Wade, which gives him great value.

Note these transaction free up about 28 Mil leaving them 1 Mil over the cap. Knicks would most likely get better after these transactions. Plus they get 2 Mid level expiring contracts. Which helps the next seasons salary cap by about 10 Mil and potentially able to free up more cap for one of next seasons All-Star Free Agents with new players from the upcoming draft. Understandably Knick fan's will be appalled by this but me as an impartial party being a lifetime Trail Blazers fan I would blow it up now like Portland did in the late 90's. Leave your comments would love to see what you think.

I wouldn't make these trades if I were New Orleans, Philly, or Oklahoma City.

            Davis is out 4-6 weeks.

Anyways, the Knicks should keep on playing like that with no changes whatsoever. After all, we get their 1st round pick this year.

Why would New Orleans trade their starting SG and C for freakin Amar'e?

                From the other thread:

Melo wouldn't be a rental for a half season, that 23 Mil for the next season he wont turn down.
I wouldn't even want Melo for 23 Mil. Plus he'd probably rather go to LA (or his wife would, rather). Keep your NO pick, especially now that Davis is out. Meanwhile save your cap and stay on your tank.

And if you watch some Knicks games Amar'e isn't done, he's playing with no desire. If he joined a team that doesn't have a post log jam like the Knicks he could dominate.
Amare's done. He's had physical problems the last three years. Why would you play 20+ mil for a player with no desire? You're better off trading for David Lee or Boozer, who have better contracts and are more consistently productive and whose franchises might be willing to swing a three way day for cap relief. (Warriors don't need Gordon, though they could use Jameer if the can also swing Gordon for a good PF replacement).

Post log jam? Their post is Bargs.

Gordon has been in a slump in a jammed up backcourt. He's a mid range monster and a cutter off screens and pick and roll type player, with one of the smallest team in the NBA. Which he can't do cause of that reason.
Gordon fetches you more than the corpse of Amare. The only thing worse than signing Amare in the first place is giving up serviceable talent for his bloated contract.

And the pick going to the Knicks from the Pelicans owned by the 76ers isn't conveniently going to them. Cause with Davis out for the season and the Pelicans getting Amar'e a team with no low post presence he would finally get a opportunity to play his game with 3 players that taking up his spot on the court. And the Pick would be the 14th pick not as low as you think.
Amare isn't really a low post player. He was a pick and roll finisher. If he was worth anything inside, Knicks would have played him at the 4 or 5. Instead they're starting Bargs. BARGS. Who's doing well, so if you can't beat out BARGS (or a 23934 year old Artest), you're doing something wrong.

Trading Gordon for Amare has the Pellies ending up bottom 8, especially since they play in the west. They might be headed there already. Paying Amare 20+ mil for the privilege of giving the Knicks a nice pick is a horrible move.

Nets pick owned by the Hawks will be the 17th pick most likely. And Iman Shumpert on a team that has 1 backcourt player who can play defense, would help that 9-9 team to the playoffs which isn't highly likely with the roster they have right now.
Nets are not ending up in the top half of NBA teams. 9-9 gets you to the playoffs in the East. The East is terrible. Hawks will make playoffs AND can gamble on the Nets collapsing (who seem to be well on their way) for a nice pick.

Anyway, this trade would never happen. Too many players, too many teams, and takes too many silly moves by too many inept GMs to make it happen.

2K trade engine might go for it though. :P

Re: What Should the Knicks Do? I have a solution.

I traded Carmelo and Tyson Chandler for Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan in 2k14. I would definitely do it in real life if I were the Clippers right now, I think they're solid but that team isn't going to the finals IMO. Pairing Paul and Melo, with Chandler replacing Jordan raises their ceiling I think. If Melo gets seriously fed up, demands a trade, Knicks want to blow it up, etc. NY could do a lot worse than that deal. I think it makes some sense for both sides.

Re: What Should the Knicks Do? I have a solution.

The problem with the Knicks is that so many of their trading pieces are deemed 'undesirable' by many other teams (i.e., Stoudemire's 2yr contract, Bargnani's 2yr contract). They don't have any future draft picks and their only real moveable asset that is of value is Shumpert and perhaps Hardaway Jr. However Shumpert alone isn't enough to bring in an impactful player as they have to package Shumpert along with other pieces, in which the Knicks' case, is very limited.

I've looked at every team and cannot think of a deal where both teams agree to a deal, with the Knicks receiving an impactful player (ala Rondo), unless it breaks up its core in either Melo or Chandler. And with so many great PGs in today's game, I can't see Felton of any great value as he would most likely be in a backup role for any other team.

The stated trade above is stupid and would never happen your saying the knicks should pretty much trade their whole team for nothing pretty much and keep metta and jr smith? jr smith is alright but metta if anybody would need to go melo can put numbers in when he wants to but he really isnt consistent, amare hasnt really be 100 since he got there but hes a beast nonetheless and chandlers injuries are affecting the C position for them but again he can do damage in the paint and his defense is stellar but those 3 if they are all healthy could def do damage
