Disgusting display in the 2nd half. Marbury was taken out of the game, and nobody but Sweetney could score for like 6 minutes in the 3rd! That's when they just lost it. I hope Tim Thomas is alright for the next game. The Knicks should have confronted Collins for that foul, even if they were already a beaten team by then. At least show some pride.

Well, on to game 2. Hopefully the Knicks respond with a better, consistent effort next game.

Knicks played AWFUL in the 2nd half.. that was just.. bad.. I don`t think the Grizzles will be blown out tonight.. and neither will the Rockets.

Riiiiiiiight. What are the Knicks really playing for here? They're certainly not going to win, and they KNOW it. But getting stomped all over the court, and passively letting the Nets do that while making a mockery of the team, that shouldn't be. Right now, the Knicks should be thinking they've got nothing to lose, suspension or no suspension, they should play hard and come out with an attitude. At least develop an identity here, and use that going into next season. Right now, the playoffs should be about GROWTH more than anything.

This is really why I just didn't see the point in having Houston on the playoff roster. While the Knicks did make a miraculous run in the playoffs during the shortened season that team was a hell of a lot better than this one. And they were a lot more cohesive than this team. They were tougher, but this Knicks team is still soft and rather inexperienced as a group.

Jason Kidd got into Frank Williams's head pretty easily, that shouldn't happen. At the very least, the Knicks should start retaliating and start bugging the Nets. Start making hustle plays. The only player that's doing the dirty work for the Knicks is Sweetney right now.

And Sweetney definitely should get more minutes than Kurt Thomas for this series.
