Artest could probably guard a power forward or a center if he had to. And he'd kill Bowen in a 1 on 1. Bowen cant really dribble and has no post game and is not the greatest shooter unless he's shooting from the baseline. Artest would just post him up and go to work. It would be 21 to like 4 or something, lol.

I have no problems with Artest winning the award but who care's who'd win a 1 on 1 game? I didn't see Pop or Bowen say that he could shoot or dribble. We're talking about defense here. Offense should have 0% to do with the defensive player award.

I have no idea who Pop was bitchin about this in the first place. Artest had a great season, on both ends of the court. I think he deserved the award. I don't think Pop had any right to question Artest's award.
