Re: Rockets to go after Nash?

    Nash is stayin in Dallas

Cuban is actin like he is gonna do whatever it takes to keep Nash and Steve is actin like he will remain in Dallas. The team has the cap room

Also, Steve's agent was talkin contract to Donnie Nelson at 11:01 yesterday evening. Nash might visit other teams, but all indications are that he is signin with the Mavs.

Yeah Nash returned from Europe yesterday and Nellie Jr. went to his house. Now Cuban and Nellie have a meeting with him tomorrow.

it's not that they have the cap room per say, but that they're allowed to pay him more than any other team without having to pay the luxury tax from being over the cap.

and like you guys said, he's not going anywhere. All talk of him going to toronto or houston is a waste of time.

I wouldnt really compare T-Lue with Derek Fisher. Lue played alright in LA mainly just played good D against Iverson in the fianls a few years back. I think fisher is more of a 6 man now or 15 minutes a game backup pg. Im not sure I would go after Nash either if he wants alot of money that is if I were the Rockets but the Raptors should definatley purse Nash.

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I think Derek Fisher would be a good fit in Houston. It is almost the identical situation he has played in for his career. Kobe = T-Mac, Shaq = Yao. T-Mac will have the ball a lot, as did Kobe. And Fisher's job will be to play tough defense, set up the offense, and give it to the big guy. Plus, he has proved he can knock down wide open threes, which he will get with T-Mac and Yao getting all the attention.

The guy will turn 30 in August, and he has loads of playoff and finals experience. Plus, he will be quite fresh for next season after only playing 20 minutes a game last year. I think Fisher would be a great fit.

With that said, Nash is a much better player, but if the Rockets don't land him, I wouldn't sweat it if I was Houston.

Re: Rockets to go after Nash?

Fisher would be perfect for Houston. He is not a liability on defense, unless Yao doesn't play the pick and roll. He is definetly not a problem in the locker room. He accepts his role without an complaints. If Fisher is wide open, you know he'll be able to knock down the three. And if there is ever 0.4 seconds left on the clock . . .

Im a huge rocket fan and this is what I think

Fisher= great defence/less money to sign
Nash= great offence/alot of money to sign

Im sorry I would go after Fisher he a great defender and he can shot the three, I think Nash is a little overrated and I wouldn't waste all that money on a pg that takes alot of shots and play subpar D. The Rockets have all the offence they ever need now with Ming/T-mac. Fisher is the way to go all the way, PLus Van Gundy loves players that can play D.

Another thing Why is everyone sleeping on my man Rece Gains, the Rockets got him at a steal in this deal, the kid can fly and score and he's a 6-6 pg, He nasty around the rim. I would let him run the point. He was a stand out in Louiville.
