And I was very high on Cousins coming out of UK, during all of those pre-draft Cousins vs Favors debates and I was 100% in Cousins' camp.
That was the year the 76ers had the 2nd pick and took Evan Turner. I thought Cousins was the 2nd best player in the draft but that it would take him a couple years to put it together. So it would be difficult to take him in that spot because by the time he puts it together; you're probably on a different coach and front office. Which is what happened in Sacramento with Paul Westphal and I believe Geoff Petrie (?). I always found that as a damned if you do... damned if you don't.

as much as people want to laugh, Williams isn't a bad choice. the Cavs have just JR Smith to come off the bench to score and if he leaves, then what? Delly is a nice defensive kid, but he cant run an offense or score, He'll get moved to the 3rd PG/5th Guard spot in a defensive role like he should be.

If we bringing the band back together then Danny Green is a MUST!

The guy is probably the only one that will fit in perfectly and is what the Cavs need.

Too bad they probably won't be able to afford him.

                        Re: 2015 Offseason Thread

Sources told ESPN.com that the Heat are planning to offer Dragic a five-year deal in excess of $80 million to keep him in Miami after acquiring the 2014 All-NBA third-team selection from Phoenix on trade deadline day in February.

A five-year maximum deal for Dragic would exceed $100 million but Miami also might find itself dealing with Dwyane Wade's free agency one summer earlier than expected if Wade decides to bypass his $16.1 million player option for next season. The Heat also await a decision from Luol Deng about his plans to either invoke next season's $10.2 million player option or opt for free agency.

Four-year offers from interested rival suitors in Dragic, such as the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, can go as high as $85 million.
I can see Dragic getting a max offer from another team, the Lakers particularly. They're in the market for a PG and they need to make a bold move in FA. If they landed Dragic and Okafor, they may be able to make a run at the 8 seed, health permitting of course. It'd be a stretch but they should at least be competing for it.

Dragic and Okafor aren't making LA an 8th seed in the West anyway lol

Don't really get all the hard cap and bird rights stuff so I just ask again: If the Cavs let Love walk, how many cap space have they? Or what kind of guys we talk about then?

Lowe talked about that few weeks ago and said if they resign all guys that are on the squad right now they would pay more then Brooklyn in tax. Is this about right?

If I'm not mistaken, Love has an ETO, meaning he decides if he wants to opt-in for 1 more year or not. It's out of the Cavs hands. They don't decide if he stays or goes. He does.

I've got that part, the question is what's happening if he opts out and then resigns what seems to be in play.
