Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
But I think for Houston to have any chance of winning. They have to win one of the first 2 games at warriors. That could be said about every series. But it's more about building confidence. Like the Clippers series.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: Western Conference Playoffs - 2nd Round Discussion Thread
You can say fits, problems or that the Houston was just straight up bad. It doesn't really matter to me how you word it. Looking at the stats make it seem even worse now considering how reliant the Mavs were on the three. Holding that team to 31% on one of their biggest strengths should lead to better results than it did.
Mavs ended with an offensive rating of 106.1, which would rank as a top 10 offense. Looking at it the other way, a team with a defensive rating that Houston had in that series would rank as the 5th worst in the regular season this year. And the numbers get even worse looking at the Clippers series.
Again it didn't really matter in this series because Dallas' defense was worse but Houston's defense was given some problems.
I agree with your other post though. I thought DMo was fantastic this year and he often went uncredited.

Wouldn't the second round skew those stats a little bit? Of course they're going to shoot more threes than teams that lost in the first round.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

GS, Atlanta and Houston were among the top defenses in the regular season. Cleveland was average but has looked better in the playoffs.
Phil made this remark when each of these teams were down 2-1. I guess he was trying to prove a point but it kind of backfired lol

You can look at the regular season as well. In terms of percentage of attempted three pointers Houston is 1st, Cleveland is 2nd, Hawks are 4th and GS is 7th. Also, the Clippers, who somehow didn't make it, were ranked 3rd.
