          I mean I get what you're saying, but it's a simple fix.

Only way some of those guys would actually improve at FT is if they started shooting underhand. Some guys hands are just too large for the touch.

Yao Ming didn't have free throw issues

            Neither does Boban Marjanovich

He also have small hands for a 7'6 guy. Shaq has bigger hands than he does for example.

Neither of those guys hands are small, cmon

The hand thing is an excuse. Both drummond and jordan looks terrified at the line.

When I watch the form between them and those other two, drummond and jordan have work to do. Dre shoots way left and Jordan is just a ft stiff.

The hands aren't the issue at all.

Maybe they are scared to shoot from there but that was not the point I was making. I never said they weren't.

Confidence could make a difference between those guys shooting 30% and 60%. 60 is still poor however and those guys probably won't hit over 70% no matter how much practice unless they start shooting underhanded or some other unknown style. You brought up Yao to say hands don't matter but Yao is 7'6 with the same hand length as MJ. Maybe hands don't matter but Yao was a poor example.

Yao was a great example because MJ had extremely large hands ala Kawhi Leonard.

The more you look at it, the more you see they don't put in enough work in the offseason. Lack of confidence comes from not preparing. I'm not talking about just missing a shot, but look how their facial expressions change. Sometimes you can see the pressure on them.

Free Throws are a mechanic you can definitely develop and get better at.

Honestly, I could probably shoot off the names of a dozen players and it still makes no sense that these guys are this technically poor in game. Sure it can be different from practice, that's understandable, but multiple years, form not changing, I don't even see where the effort is at. I think Drummond would be easier to fix because he just shoots in a not so straight line, but Jordan has no excuse really.. like what does he practice in the summer? He has no post moves, no hook shot, no jumper, no go to move and certainly can't hit FTs enough... he just catches lobs and blocks shots (timing)

                    Where is the development

I'm not going to chalk it up to them just not putting in work. We have no idea what these guys do in the offseason to make those kind of claims.

That's like the silly augments where we try to break down a players mental make up. Nobody knows what's going on in their head, how bad they want to win, their drive, etc.

Some people just don't have the touch. Some may/may not practice. Some might have issues with their hands being large, even if someone else didn't. No two people are the same.

I can tell MKG worked on his jumpshot because he changed his awful mechanic. Not only that as much attention as it got, there was definitely news of him even a couple of pics and videos of him working on it.

We see snippets of players working on things all the time. It's not a coincidence Jordan hasn't improved in any other area, nor has his mechanics changed..and sometimes you can see the pressure take effect on someone.

Pschologically some things just stand out. That's how cops can profile specific things with people being questioned. You can certainly see confidence on a player outwardly or when he's slouching over, bad body language, etc..

Point is, I don't see anything anywhere that points to Jordan working relentlessly on this kind of a weakness because its a huge problem for his team.

Y'all make too many excuses for these players, in which they already get coddled enough as it is.

We have this discussion every year here(or on Twitter depending on who you are)and people cherry pick 1-2 regular season games and pick out the same 2 players(Dwight and DJ)and then keep quiet til the playoffs, pick out 2 games from there and then scream out "THE RULE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED BECAUSE IM NOT BEING ENTERTAINED". Or change them because a handful of guys can't even be AVERAGE from the line yet other players that play the same position don't have that issue.

And the notion that you can't tell what a player has been working on, especially if it's been an issue before, is straight bull****. Especially when the results are right there in front of you.
