Bucks might miss Monroe in the playoffs. He was really good for them in that Toronto series last year, seemed like everytime they dumped it down to him, he came through.

It's funny, Okafor might actually be a decent fit for the Bucks off the bench...

I love that the Bucks can keep their 1st rounder if they play good enough. 17 or higher and we keep it. Hopefully PHO doesn't see it until 2020 (sorry Suns fans).

I'd take Okafor if he were coming for free/only cost us like Rashad Vaughn or something, but he's just nowhere near Monroe.

He can score in the post, but he can't pass, so all teams have to do is send some help his way and it completely negates his only strength. He can't rebound or defend to save his life. He might be able to get to Monroe's level at some point in his career, but I don't think he'd really be a better option than Thon right now and certainly isn't as good as Henson.

On the flip side, it seems that Milwaukee's defense will always be bad as long as Kidd remains the coach, so maybe it's not even worth it to go get a center that can defend and rebound.

A name that nobody said that would be a good fit for the Bucks is Dwayne Dedmon from the hawks. He is only making 6 million and can rebound and play defense.

I like him on the Bucks. I think the Hawks would be a better fit though for Oakfor.

                Pack where you at?

Sixers are nearing a deal to send Jahlil Okafor, Nik Stauskas and a second round pick to the Nets for Trevor Booker according to Woj.

Seems like a rare deal that might be good for both sides.

Deal is official. Okafor is headed to Brooklyn.

                      2017-18 Transaction Thread

Nets now have the 3rd overall pick and the #2 overall Pick in the 2015 Draft and the 8th overall pick in the 2014 Draft. I guess that’s one way of making up for those lost 1st rd picks over the last 4 years. 🤷🏾*♂️

Gonna miss King Booker and Skilpatrick. All about that player development though.

Wouldn’t mind taking a flier on Derrick Jones either.

Could be, but it looks like a really good move for the Nets. 2nd round picks don't usually amount to much but in the off chance that this one does it would make this a pretty poor move for Philly. I'm not really sure what they figure they will get out of Booker than they don't have in Amir Johnson and Richaun Holmes. Not that Booker can't play, just seems like a redundant addition for them. I can't help but think that they probably could have had better offers for Okafor than this, especially since they threw in a pick, but damn maybe his stock really is just that low.

I think he's clearly a talented player, his style isn't a perfect fit for today's game but he deserved to get another shot somewhere. Talent is talent regardless, I think he finds a way to be productive from here on out.

I know one thing: Okafor will be jacking up 3s and knocking them down by the all star break, I guarantee it.

I don't see the point for the sixers. They trade a 2nd and expiring contracts for Trevor Booker who's also expiring. I don't know why they added the 2nd

That trade makes zero sense to me for Philly all around they paid someone to take a former 3rd overall pick to go away. I mean surely atleast someone would have offered a better deal then this

Booker is a really, really good pickup for Philly. Allows Ben to make a full-time switch to point, gives them a tough-nosed athletic big man who can occasionally shoot the three ball.

He's gonna toughen those boys up.
