Anyway, as the debates been good and i don't want to just 'walk out' mid conversation...below is a summary of the points i was trying to add
Post issue: There's no basketball coach who says "hey, if you have a 6 inch and 30 pound advantage...I want you to ignore it and shoot a 3 ball".
Mac gets plenty of opportunities to post up guards. Like Macca said also, Yao has a nice 15 footer...it's not like he doesn't step out at times.
A few of the guys heremust have "Mac4Ever" tats on both butt cheeks.

There's not much more I can add. Not doubling, but 3 times as may 3 balls within a few years. Vince does that and everyone agrees he's settling for too many J's...
Mac does it...and I don't know, that's okay it seems.

Re the hype:
"I appreciate the love ... I'm just looking forward to something great happening in the city of Houston. And believe me, something great is going to happen."
That's not directly title talk...but he was the one who made multiple references to Shaq and Kobe.
Those guys won titles together, he used them as his 'reference point'. No one else, Mac himself made the comparison...
...so I'm presuming Mac saying " And believe me, something great is going to happen."
...didn't mean "we'll be going for the 8th spot in the west"
My biggest concern is, if Yao doesnt become the next Shaq and no title looks likely for a few seasons...at what point does Mac sulk and want out? Because his track record suggests he will / suggests he does get very down on teams...
Look, I LIKE Mac...but there's just too many excuses. Not this season alone, but each and every year. And yeah, 8 for 8 nights don't mean much when your shooting .305 for the year. Teams are giving him that shot. Occasionally, he'll kill them. I've no doubt he'll go for a 60 point night one time this season when he gets hot. Invariably though, he won't.
Maybe it's just bad luck...maybe it's him. I don't really know at this stage.
I hope he becomes the great player...elite player...your confident he will be.
Side note: Probably won't be online for a few days, Merry Christmas to you and you also Macca
