    Re: Shaq comments

    The point that is being missed in this thread called "Shaq comments" is this:

    Either Shaq knew Phil was on his way out before he saw it on ESPN as he claimed, or Shaq doesn't get the kind of behind the scenes info from people within the organization. Either way he exaggerated or lied to the media, so when he makes a comment from here on out, yall should relax and not be too quick to yell "I told you so". Shaq likes to entertain, period. He aint coming forward with anything else, because its enough for him to say he knows what's going on and sheep will flock to it and conjure up all kinds of scenarios.

    Now if you can see past your bias you should see this. Dont waste your breath telling me how dominant Shaq is. Since noone with any sense on this board claimed the Lakers would battle Miami for best record, I dont see what yall gain by repeating that. FYI, everyone expected Miami to have short term success.

      Re: Shaq comments

      Classic old argument driddy, the old it's one or the other. But there's no proof Shaq couldn't have been uninformed on Phil but not found out about Kobe. The management of LA may have concealed Phil's dismissal so that Shaq could not find out, but it doens't make sense LA is STILL trying to conceal info from Shaq, b/c Shaq no longer plays there and the organization has moved on, they don't need to hide info from Shaq.

      It almost seems like you are trying to set the rules, saying that if Shaq could find out about Rudy/Kobe's issues, that he had to of known about Phil. NObody here has argued that, there is no difinite proof that Shaq could know about one but not the other. Anything is possible, but what is so puzzling is your insistence and complete maniac ambition to force everyone to agree that Shaq does not know what is going on. Several people have said they now PERSONALLY that stuff in LA leaks out, yet you ignore them. If you feel that way, fine, but many of us find nothing implausible about Shaq making a phone call to his many friends he has left in the organization, and getting the scoop.

      To make it simple for you, driddy, here's one example. Shaq makes a call to his good friend Devean George. he says, Devean, what is the problem w/Rudy leaving? Did Kobe get along well w/Rudy? Did Rudy seem to get along well w/Kobe? Perhaps Devean, based on personal observation and from talking to teammates and members w/in the Laker family, made a logical observation that Kobe is hard to get along w/, bucked Rudy T's system, and was not being cooperative. Of course, as an organization, the players and management would do their job and keep problems in house and concealed from the media, and players understand that if they go to the media and bad mouth Kobe, who is now in charge there, they are gonna get it.

      But Devean tells Shaq in confidence, thinking Shaq will not reveal his source, or do anything that could possibly implicate me as the mole about the revelation that Rudy T left b/Kobe was doing b.s.

      that is just one example of how this could happen. Shaq has a TON of friends and connections w/in the organization, who in confidence, w/the implicit understanding that Shaq will not do anything to get that person in trouble for spilling the beans behind the real reason Rudy T left.

      Again, if you don't like Shaq, you naturally aren't gonna believe him. That's just the way people are. They want Shaq to be bad, to be lying, I understand there are people that are gonna refuse to admit Shaq easily could have sources and be telling the truth. That's up to you driddy. I have a feeling how you're gonna spin it.

          I dont know D4K, arent Centers supposed to hold down the paint? The Lakers have been without a good PF for so long you forget he has an obligation to help also. I think Dallas2K3 was trying to say that. It wasnt just Shaq's fault.

              Shaq has to check his man. Period. If his man is setting the pick, its Shaqs job to leave the the paint and get out there...

              But, I digress. I know how it goes.

              Overshooting = Horrendous...Lazy Defense = Meh, thats OK. :y4:

                  Funny how everyone wants Shaq to hold down the paint his man, and the man who switches all the while ignore how the guards gamble on D just because he's there.
