I suppose we should count high school and little league championships as well. That was no mistake by ESPN.

Re: A Sad stat of this generations knowledge

1 of the SportsCenter anchors the other night referred to Gerry McNamara as "Gary Mickenna". This is one of the best Guard's in the nation who made six 3's in the title game 2 years ago.

And to think that smug executive on "Dream Job" is so picky about the contestants getting names/facts correct (rightfully so IMO). But at least be consistent about it - his current employees don't meet those same standards. What a hypocritical blowhard.

Easy big boy, go easy on the guys. You should be comended for never having made one single mistake at your job. People make mistakes once in a while, but a machine like you will never make an error.

Congratulations - you managed to combine the "lamest sense of humor" award and a "dumbest post" nominee all in one.

                    A) I was criticizing the ESPN "talent" evaluator more-so than the anchor for making a "mistake".
                    B) Not knowing somebody's name is not a "mistake", it's ignorance, which also shows a lack of preparation.
                    C) I didn't sign a 6-figure contract to be in the public eye, so the standards are not quite the same, though, I do hear about it from my boss when I make an error; and I probably would be fired if I showed up to a meeting/presentation unprepared.

Congratulations, you've manged to prove that steroids to provoke uncontrolable outbursts.

                        1. Have you heard this particular anchor make mistake after mistake?

                        2. One, two, or even three minor errors do not merrit termination. Unless of course you're a doctor.

                        3. People make mistakes, so deal with it!

                        4. Lighten up Francis.
