My favorite basketball game last year was Inside Drive. With all the hype over the basketball games this year, I could not wait for ID 2003 to come out so I purchased NBA 2K3. While most of the results in the game are pretty realistic, there are certain items in the game (all of which have been discussed in this forum many times) which annoy me.
NBA 2K3 did not satisfy me so I purchased Live 2003. This game reminds me alot of NBA Street where it is fun to play offense, but a nightmare to play defense, and the outcomes in my opinion are not very realistic (i.e. it is simply to easy to fast break regardless of the team that you are using)
At this point I prefer Inside Drive 2002 over both Live 2003 and NBA 2k3. If Microsoft leaves the game engine alone, I will be very happy with Inside Drive. In my opinion the only item it was lacking was franchise mode. I have my fingers crossed that ID 2003 will play like last years version.
