    FN2...Do I unwrap the wrapper?

I traded in Def Jam FFNY b/c I had played it out, but I still wanted a fighting game.

I picked this up and after going back through all the posts it seems the "jury is still out" on this game.

Should I unwrap the wrapper and give this a go or take it back for something else? I enjoyed KOK and only rented FN for a week...it was "ok."

From the sounds maybe I should take this back and go get FN and spend the extra cash on cheeseburgers or something.

I just need to have some type of fighting game.

Its a pretty good game. I definitely like it. The best use for it is when you have a bunch of friends over, but single player is decent. I play on Hard and get some really good matches.

Take it back if you want a true boxing experience. If you want an arcade experience enjoy!

i agree with him...if your a sim fan, then this games is not even close, but as an arcade brawler it'll do.

Yeah if you like sim boxing this isn't really that great but probably your only choice. But if you just want a fighter then might aswell play it and have fun.

fun game, but it quickly lost it's appeal to me when i got online and fought guys who just threw haymakers all day. hard to find a good match so it wasn't worth keeping.

Yep.. I blame EA for this.. All reward/No risk equals abuse..

Little repetitive. THe hardest difficulty is more of a slugfest instead of boxing which pisses me off. Would rather have a more strategic battle where I'm struggling than a "jab him til his energy is low, then daze him till he his the mat" fight. Really a let down. Take it back and wait until the next one comes up or get it on EBAY. I hear Ubisoft got the codes for that Rocky game. The boxing stick joint is ingenious, but could be improved on for more realism and faster response. Just too many lackings for me to put money up to buy it. It's fun to get into though in the end. I'm a serious gamer so maybe this wasn't meant for you....

The replay value sucks. It gets old fast with all those haymakers.

What was it about the first FN that is making it better loved than this one? I honestly am considering going to that one. I stopped playing that game. Not even interested in playing guest cause it's just so lacking in realism. Why isn't the boxer ever getting tired when he's throwing haymakers? Honestly, am I the only one or does the computer do those haymakers incredibly easy? Makes me wonder why I suck so much at copying their haymaker fighting style.
