No it's not nerfed enough. A real nerf would be the counter windows size depending on the strike parried (ex.if you parry a jab you can only land a jab/straight of your own) and not allowing it to freeze the opponent. All this current parry system is, is a tool for noobs to fish for easy offense that rewards them big.

Not due to parries, but slips and counters. Parrying a jab should not give a free overhand. And like I said before it doesn't even matter what strike you throw, jab. straight, left hook, right hook, left upper, right upper, spinning backfists, elbows, wheel kicks. wheel kicks! It all gets parried by 1 button and gives you a free counter. It's way too easy to fish for

Not a huge fan of the parry-counter attacks in EA UFC, but this is a cool gif of my man Thomas Almeida parrying a front kick perfectly, and countering with a nasti combination.

Re: I hate the parry so, so much
I think it's just fine in human vs human. It's when I play the AI that it's INCREDIBLY frustrating. When I rock an opponent and have 4 consecutive strikes (different strikes, changing levels) parried while he's staggering backward... that's not so great.Comment

Re: I hate the parry so, so much
Now players have found a strategy which makes the parry even more broken.
For anybody who says you need to mix it up, you can't anymore. Now it goes like this:
-People walk in the pocket and parry their head, so you can't throw head strikes.
-Immediately afterwards, they leg kick, so they trip you up if you try to throw leg/body kicks.
What are you left with? Body jabs? You can't even mix them up anymoreComment

Yep. At most it should be a viable way to stop the silly Tekken combos and regroup."Faith: Not wanting to know what is true." Friedrich Nietzsche

Re: I hate the parry so, so much
Here, another example.
Call me predictable, say that I don't mix it up enough etc. etc. I know I need to work on that.
But apparently parrying a jab now grants you a free headkick.
Let me repeat that: A jab parry now gives you a free, full power, unblockable headkick

Re: I hate the parry so, so much
The sitting on high block looks worse. Reminds me of Undisputed. Everyone just holding high block the whole time. Why they haven't punished people for this yet is beyond me. They had a stamina drain for sitting on block last game. This is the biggest issue right now, and I've been harping about it since the beta. Anyone who thinks I change things, is sadly mistaken. I've been complaining about this since the beta.@bikingforjesus on InstagramComment
