Do you know why I get penalty modifier when I haven't quit? Had 3 opponents quit on me and I get penalty modifier. I didn't lose belt so seems weird I get penalty.

Think it might have been glitch because I had dudes quit later and I didn't get penalty.

We were told by the devs that the penalty modifier is from playing the same fighter too many times. Not sure if that's true though, only what we were told.

I have gotten the penalty modifier in UT and it always occurred when I was going to submission objectives and people were quitting over and over on me. It wasn't the same person it was multiple people quitting against me during short amount of fights.

Odd that EA would also add a penalty to the user for playing the same people when the user has no control over matchmaking. So if you get a penalty modify for playing against the same player you should just turn off the game?

What variables do you look for to land a perfect takedown?

And what separates a great grappler from a good grappler?

Awsome man you got yourself a sub already then

Another question 2 would be When someone has you in over under or double underhooks dom and they keep blocking every escape what would you suggest doing to escape in though positions?

And also in general what do you consider better your ground game or your standup?

An ideal perfect TD would be you sway a 1-2 head kick and shoot right at the end. Always sway back then go forward. The lighter weight class = the further you can shoot TD's (Has to do with weight class TD stat cap).

A good grappler will know how to deny transitions.

A great grappler won't care about them denying transitions.

Relax. Biggest mistake I see is people panicking and getting their stamina drained. Use fakes, recover your stamina and utilize every way to escape. Overunder is easy, go back to single collar they rarely block it. Double under is harder because the denies are easy. Just keep calm and deny them then fake then transition.

I think the ground is more consistent so I'm probably "better" there.

Why doesn't great grappler care about denying transitions, because they can work from anywhere?

Do you know of any way to avoid getting a reversal? Sometimes I want to deny a transition to set up a sub and accidently reverse it and end up in dominant full guard. I feel like I have to start all over again when that happens. Gross.

That and sometimes you can benefit from being denied.

If I know someone wants side control but is laying on me in half guard refusing to move, I'll do a back take to give them the denial and then pre deny the side control transiton to reverse them.

The only way to avoid getting a reversal is to wait and deny a little later. Really risky to do and would not recommend it. I do this in guard from time to time but it's pretty inconsistent.

I always let ppl do certain subs on me till they reach a certain gate then move and try to get out because if I do I usually end up in a great position like side control. Also ppl suck at subs so it's easy to escape all the time.

Sometimes it might lose me the round but if I'm able for the last 30 seconds of a round and make some ones face really red then I'll do it and take my chance in the later rounds.

This is what I like to do as well - laze about on my sub escape then try to get out on the 2nd or 3rd gate. If it's against a proficient grappler/player though, I wouldn't dare risk it.

How Kenetic described it is pretty insane though.

What would be your strategy for maintaining or escaping the Thai clinch against an above average player? You've already explained over/under and double under, so I just wanted to dwell somewhat in the same area.

Use the fuzzy guard (Hold RB then hit RT if you see a knee coming, need to be quick)

Block 1 strike and transition out. DO NOT BE PREDICTABLE. I can't even tell you how many times I will see someone go in a complete circle, like Left, Right, Up, repeat. If you change up your patterns it will be very hard to keep you in Thai.

If someone gets me into Thai I have two options which vary depending on the opponents skill level

                              1) If you have high stamina (NOT = TO THEM, HIGH) you can immediately go left or right as soon as you get put in Thai clinch. As long as their isn't a huge stat disparity & your stamina is 90%+ they will have a hard time blocking your escape. IF THEY DO BLOCK IT do not panic. You have to block strikes (Use fuzzy guard).

                              2) If stamina is low or you are versus a very high level player, skip the first part above and go right into blocking at least one strike. The longer you are in thai clinch the worse it will get, but you need to be calm. Block the knee or elbow and get out. Watch out for multiple strikes, the clinch is very turn based and reactive, but the momentum can change very quickly.

Along with this, you can mix in fakes but you need to be ready to block in case they override your fakes by throwing a strike.

The clinch is definitely going to be one of my first videos, **** is wack and is easily the most frustrating part of the game.

How can I get a good combo multiplayer with out using leg kicks or spamming 1-2 to the body?

It's way harder to get flash rocks without using leg kicks at then end of combos. I don't like that. I like to box and unless I throw a long punching combo i won't get a flash rock but if I do less punches and end it with a kick I always seem to flash people. Weird.

This is why I'm the Jake Shields of UFC 2. My striking is crappy. I'll dry hump anyone all day then stand on the feet. Makes me feel like a man. LOL!
