Re: can input lag from TV mess ur timing in this game?

I've also said this before, if you don't want to play on a small monitor then you should check out Vizio D-series 4K tv. It has the lowest input lag ever record for a 1080p/4K tv at (13.1ms) which is pretty damn fast for a 50inch 4K tv.

Price for the tv is around $500.

If anyone wants to see some links and a review I'll post it from this tv review website. I have posted it awhile back in a different thread for Dave.

I really disagree with this.** I think 35ms is a lot of time. If you want to deny or reverse fakes having a monitor helps a lot.* If you have say 250ms reaction time 251ms is definitely better than 285ms.*

Time is time and I'll take any advantage I can gets. It has helped my submissions as well.* My submission mini game was pretty good before the monitor.* (Not like big though)

How do you find out what the input lag of your tv is? I have a 55" Westinghouse Smart - 4K Ultra HD

Look for the response time. It seems yours is 8ms, which is unbelievably awful, although I don't know if it has a game mode which increases response time (most smart TVs do).

Most standard monitors have 3ms, and a good gaming monitor has 1ms. I haven't used my monitor on PS4 yet but maybe I should try

Response time and input lag are two completely different things. Response time is how fast a pixel can change color from gray to gray and input lag is how long it takes for you to see what is happening in the game from console to your monitor. If you put your tv in game mode that will usually make it low enough that it's tolerable, if not a monitor is the way to go. BenQ and ASUS gaming monitors are great for low input lag.

Thank you for the advice. I love this video game but I'm very bad playing at it. I feel I am too slow.

Yesterday I bought this TV: https://tiendas.mediamarkt.es/p/moni...avoces-1307763 and now I think I am less slow and more competitive.

I just won, for the firts time one of the best players in ultimate team. Maybe I have lost with this guy like 20 fights or more before.

I don't know how to insert videos here.

I wouldn't call 8 ms unbelievably awful lol my tv is significantly higher than that. And(kinda being a stickler here , but) a standard monitor is 5ms not 3. And yeah any real gaming monitor will have a 1ms response time. I have an lg 24 inch 144hz monitor and it is very nice. Helps in nearly every game, ufc2 more than others IMO.(as far as console gaming is concerned)

Re: can input lag from TV mess ur timing in this game?

And to answer OP, having a low response time wont effect your timing if you are used to it . but if you downgrade from a really nice monitor or tv down to a tv with a significantly slower response time than it will certainly make the game and blocking transitions feel harder. And if you go from an older tv and start using a nice monitor the game will feel much easier. You will find yourself getting transition denials you wouldn't get in the past.

My headset recently broke and i dont have speakers on my monitor so im without sound. So ive been on my 32 inch 720p dynex from like 8 years ago and the first couple days playing were really rough lol. Still manage to do well after adjusting but having a 1 ms monitor is in fact a large advantage.

8ms seems super fast for big honking tv imo.

With my new 1 ms TV I'm not much better player but now I can handle a little bit better with those ultra-agressive and fast kind of fighters like AZN_Cezi197, one of the best in Ultimate Team. First time I win this guy.

Re: can input lag from TV mess ur timing in this game?

Input lag has been driving me nuts ever since I bought a LG OLED TV. I have it in game mode, which I believe minimizes input lag. I've googled and read for hours. From what I read the stupid 65 in LG OLED that I have is supposed to be the best TV for games. I'm so confused.

Can someone let me know if I'm just out of luck, or if I have more options beyond switching to 'game mode' which turns of TruMotion and all the other garbage bells and whistles.

Is there a setting on the PS4 I need to adjust?

Is there an additional setting on the LG TVs that will make it operate at a slower refresh frame rate (not sure that's the right term).

Any help would be super helpful.

                            Thanks

Err, that should be 30ms on that TV, assuming that's a 2016 model? I don't know about you, but I can play perfectly fine on my 2016 LG OLED.

Find_The_Door on here has one too, and I am pretty sure he has no issues either.

I turn most of those extra processing features off, but I doubt they are what is causing concern.

I believe Find The Door has the same tv and he plays ufc 2 fine. Everytime we play he can deny my transitions and sub attempts. Also he always rocks me with Big Nog. So if FTD can play just fine on that tv, i'm sure you can too.
