You're correct, I just didn't recall him ever using it.

Nick Diaz shouldn't have Nate Diaz's straight punch animation. Nick doesn't throw straights like that. I kinda wonder if that decision was made solely based on the fact that he's Nate's brother and they didn't even look at footage. It throws me off every time I see him throwing straights like that though.

His jab animation is also wrong and looks like Nate's. He should have a jab like Barboza does in the game. I really hope they fix this as those are going to be punches used very often when using Nick and it just doesn't feel like Nick the way it is.

Everyone does this all the time with the Diaz brothers, it's annoying, they don't fight all that similarly.

He seems to have very good stamina so I'm glad they got that down. Could be a little over the top even but not totally sure. I've never seen Nick tired though. The pressure and punching never stops. So he should have a significant stamina advantage over his opponents.

This guy also said that he's missing boxing combos which I don't like the sound of. He should have basically all of them imo. He spars pro boxers all the time and throws different combinations in fights.

EDIT: Also... What goes into the health stat because there are roughly ten fighters who have a higher health stat than him in the WW division? Nick definitely has the best chin in the WW division imo. He hasn't been KO'd in 36 fights... A lot of which were wars where he got hit a lot.

Leg health is dragging him down I imagine, he also got knocked out by Jeremy Jackson in 2002, so he has been stopped with strikes, whereas Condit for example has never been knocked out (he has 1 TKO loss, which is the Woodley fight)

Drawing a blank on others I noticed but Jorge Masvidal is missing the rear elbow he knocked out Mutante with.

He was real hurt but he was never unconscious properly. The fight was def rightly stopped but I'm biased so I don't count that one lol.

I would say Diaz and Condit should have a similar health rating. Condit indeed has an insane chin too. But yeah, I figured the leg health would have taken him down too. With that said, Nick deals with leg kicks much better than Nate. He's never been badly hurt by them and if he has... He's continued forward pressure and won the fight.

Nick shouldn't be the best WW in the division obviously but he's a very unique fighter... and that should be felt. As far as stamina, toughness, and health... they should all be top 3. I'd argue all of them should be the best.

The other guys who have a high chin health don't just walk through punches. Nick does. lol. He's occasionally been dropped a couple of times but it's been real rare in 37 fights. His fighting style for sure has to be taken into consideration with that stat too.

This is the last thing I'll say on this since I don't want to derail this thread anymore than we kinda already have, but rating Nick highly to me is an issue because I don't think his level of competition was all that great for the vast majority of his wins. Like, in terms of his chin, he's fought 2 legit power punchers IMO in Daley and Lawler, and Daley has never been a world beater and his fight with Lawler was 14 years ago and not worth much analytically anymore.

His biggest name wins are Daley, Lawler and Penn, as well as the competitive fight with Condit if you want to count that, I think he's rated absolutely fairly based on his resumé tbh, especially considering he hasn't won a fight in almost 7 years. Oh, and on the low kicks, he doesn't deal with them any better than Nate IMO, he's just fought far less crushing low kickers than guys like RDA

I do think there's a stylistic issue with both Diaz brothers though, where they've been kinda mushed together into a weird mashup of both their styles, when they both have Nate's range boxing and Nick's body punch flurries and pressure.

TL;DR - Neither Diaz is that good and McGregor would KO both stiff in 16 seconds back to back #ÉIRE #ChampChamp

                                Bro. I'm mad.

First of all... Gomi was the number 1 ranked LW in the world when he beat him and is also a big puncher. Zaromskis was a hard hitter also.

Nick would beat Lawler in 2018. I'd bet you a lot on that. Lawler is a fighter. Nick is a fighter. Nick does not lose those kind of fights. Lawler can't box with Nick. Nick is a better boxer than Nate. People have just forgotten about Nick. He gets the better of every opponent when he boxes in MMA. Genuinely puts in good sessions with Andre Ward. Kicks and wrestling are what gets him.

KJ noons was also a big win at the time. I also believe he won the Condit fight... but whatever. Fickett was also a real big win.

And actually if you look at Condit's record you'll find he hasn't got the biggest names on his resume either. Rory, Hardy, Kampmann, Nick (1,2,5 Diaz tho). Everyone is fine with him having a real high striking rating tho.

Here's the thing tho... As I said... Nick shouldn't be too highly rated. He should just have the best boxing in the division (yes, the best). Def not in terms of speed and power, however. That said, his punches come relatively fast because there is not much wind up. Should have good BJJ off his back. Stamina, toughness, and chin rating should be high. I'd personally have his striking rating a little higher if 90 is average but I can live with 89 if the other things are right.
