    Double Lunge Bug:
    1. Do a major lunge laterally
    2. Immediately input a second major lunge (within a quarter of a second)
    3. Let go of controller
    4. Notice second lunge still comes out after the first lunge is done executing, with no further input from the player

Notes: The action queue is keeping the major lunges in the queue for too long, making unwanted actions come out. The major lunges cannot be canceled by holding guard or by striking, either, so the player cannot see a strike and then try to brace or otherwise respond. Seems to also affect minor lunges but this is less noticeable and overall less impactful to player experience. Happens in every direction except when the first lunge is a backward lunge (because the whole backward lunge is forced to play out). Most noticeable when going left-left or right-right in the same lateral direction. This is definitely due to accidental inputs, but this wasn't an issue before the patch, and it's too punishing now, especially in lag where inputs are sometimes dropped and additional ones are necessary.

Do you guys want this fixed or do you think it's fine how it is?
This is also a separate issue from what I’m talking about. I already went through GPD and he said the testers were able to replicate what I’m taking about with the one input causing two to come out. Things have to fall in to place, but I can replicate it with an 80% success rate in practice mode.

The advanced lunge has to be done while the active block just starts to play. Before the strike hits. If done quick enough and timed right two come out instead of one

After a little digging, I figured out what the problem was.

It was an existing bug that got exposed when lunge chaining was improved.

If you lunge with the block button held down during the lunge and let go of the block button *before* you let go of the right stick you will get the double lunge.

I'm looking into a fix right now.

This is not a control sequence that has ever occurred to me naturally, but it appears a lot of people run into this.

Hopefully this helps you work around it until a fix is patched in.
