Re: L2R2 Submission wow!! the IQ is out of the skull
I have no idea what he is talking about either. Just hold the triggers at 50% and milk it side to side. Escape out of limb subs blindfolded.

woah~~ what a "high IQ" genius, I think you discovered the 9th wonder of the universe, I mean "just trigger at 50%"(or 30% 70% 10%) sure, I mean there's no way any good players especially not the 100 guys can figure this out right? I hope you at least know which bar is yours when you and other fighter locked into the submission.
How did you figure out something this complex man? we need to spread the news! these guys only have 65%ish win by submission(even match against another top 100) only 15% higher than Demian Maia, a submission only fighter in UFC(who submitted a brunch tomato cans before he can no longer pull it off to top ranked guys) Then all new players can improve their submission win rate to 100% against players who don't want get into submission games.
My advise, get a clue, get your number straight, stats won't lie, no one should get anywhere close 65%, 50% submission rate when against top 100 players. Not suppose happen in game or in real life.
btw, most player knows 20% 30% 50% on their first try, the issue is the advantage bar speed genius.Last edited by Windtear; 08-27-2020, 12:02 PM.Comment

Lots of people know how to defend joint subs now. I dont know how to do it but they get their bar small and move it smoothly back and forth. When I try it gets larger.Comment

Easy there man. Yeah, it's not rocket science, It's underpowered and those stats are from an open matchmaking leaderboard (not the top 100 playing each other) 2 weeks after release with a broken pre-patch standing guillotine. It's ok if you don't agree.woah~~ what a "high IQ" genius, I think you discovered the 9th wonder of the universe, I mean "just trigger at 50%"(or 30% 70% 10%) sure, I mean there's no way any good players especially not the 100 guys can figure this out right? Re: L2R2 Submission wow!! the IQ is out of the skull
Less than 4% of players in UFC 3 had a win by submission. I just can’t sign on to this dumbed down submission game is better in any way. If you’re a casual player, enjoy.

Re: L2R2 Submission wow!! the IQ is out of the skull
So we've got strong opinions that feel it's underpowered, overpowered, and just right. This is awesome lmao.
Not very many players seem to have grasped the new system. It's cool finding someone who does because those sub battles can get very interesting.
I think it was Earv who made post about how deadly BJJ is in UFC 4. I couldn't agree more. Which is why making chokes or limb submissions easier doesn't make sense to me. Both of them are strong weapons in their current state.
Also, I don't know how accurate that 4% number from UFC3 is, but even if it was 10%, I don't think getting a submission should be a unicorn. Players never being able to submit someone points more toward a bad system than a good one, especially considering how much time is spent on the ground. I never disliked the old system, but it wasn't anything special either. I hope people learn to embrace what they've done with this one.

Unless you're getting caught with a standing guillotine or backpack RNC, you shouldn't be getting submitted..Half of this game is 90% mental - Tim Sylvia

Only open matches shows win methods, and in ranked play, it's much much worse. and that's exactly why I classified the situation in 2 ways
1. submission defense vs tomato cans or CPU opponents, which seem to be the scenarios you seem to experience most of time
2. submission defense in high rank plays, everyone knows pull L2R2 with varify of pressure, and hence there's already a way to exploit and preventing it. if a system that is too easy to pull off on offender's side, and hard to defense, then the system need to looked at.Last edited by Windtear; 08-27-2020, 03:57 PM.Comment

Just wondering where did you get your stats? 4%? care to prove it?
BTW, most players and real life fighters prefer win by KO, you don't see too many submission wins in a fight night. EA went so far to create KO mode and Stand & bang because most casual players don't like to take it to the ground.
The point here isn't to find out which method people prefer to win by, but which method had too many wins from those selected players.
Again, stats won't lie, when some players have 65% sub win in such short time, that's definitely wrong.Comment

I have played you and trust me when I say you just don’t know what your doing. Plenty of videos online showing how to do this. Go watch martial minds last couple of videos. He actually demonstrates how to do limb submissions with his controller.
Just put in your due diligence and you can get better man. I think you should try and ask for help instead of just jumping to the “it’s broken” theme.Comment

Are you on Xbox or Ps4? if it's Xbox are you using an elite controller, if so than try playing with the trigger sensitivities.Comment

I remember I had you beat, and my rank is very close to top 100 so even tho I don't always initiate ground game and submission, but I'm open minded, invite me and I wish to see how do you escape my submission. No offense man but I really think this is just a case of ignorance on your part.

So far I played couple games, pulled joint sub on 4 different players, none has escaped. BTW, the number is there. 65% sub is just absurd.Comment
