Re: Your Fighting Style Combo
The way to nullify a kickboxer is normally to get them to the ground but having a great ground game really does help. I was thinking of what BJJ could do for me but yeah Wrestling worked really well for me too."If you ain't first, you're last" ~Ricky BobbyComment

Re: Your Fighting Style Combo
I started with MT/Judo. Eventually the Thai clinch and Judo throws became useless as they were both countered 100% of the time by the end of career and the only thing that worked was kicking them in the head.
For subsquent careers (because I won't feel the game is compelte without winning all titles) I went with kickboxing as it just starts off with the head kicks and makes things really easy. Grappling style doesn't matter since I'm quitting after winning the title though it's better to NOT have BJJ.Comment

Re: Your Fighting Style Combo
Why not BJJ? I thought it would make sense strategy-wise since the player would attempt to take me down and try to take advantage of that. Wouldn't BJJ help me with that and I'd just be okay on my back and such?"If you ain't first, you're last" ~Ricky BobbyComment

Re: Your Fighting Style Combo
My first CAF was a Muay That/BJJ fighter. I love the fact that I can pull a submission out of my *** at any time. Another good thing is that you can put no points in takedown defense --use those elsewhere--and just made sure your fighter has high GGO/GGD. After I get taken down once and quickly go to rubber guard and then back side/mount, guys stop going for takedowns.Comment
