Re: UFC 141 - Lesnar vs. Overeem - Dec. 30th
Brock Lesnar, the World Wrestling Entertainment champion, was once arrested for illegally possessing steroids, though the felony charge against the 26-year-old athlete was dismissed four months after his January 2001 arrest. Lesnar, pictured in the above mug shot, was popped by Louisville Division of Police detectives after receiving and opening a parcel that cops said contained a 'large amount of steroids.'
So I hope Overeem is doing roids to make the fight fair cause Brock has been doing them his whole life...I don't care there he was cleared 4 months later money always talks more than truth and Vince has alot of moneyLast edited by Errors Occurred; 12-20-2011, 03:32 PM.Comment

This is the second post you've made like this (GSP greasing was the 1st). We don't do that around here. If you want to talk about his arrest, fine. But none of this wild accusation crap. Oh my bad I didn't know we couldn't talk about what brock has did but someone said this about Overeem (while he may be "clean" he has def done LOADS of roids in his life lol That kind of muscle development cannot be achieved naturally) So I will just keep quite.Comment

Re: UFC 141 - Lesnar vs. Overeem - Dec. 30th
I don't know, Brock's had 6 fights in the UFC, 7 fights total in the U.S. since 2007.. I think he's been clean for a while now. He's never fought outside of the U.S.
In regards to Alistair, he's been in and out of Japan/USA. So I think Alistair is much more in question than Brock at this point, but all in all I'm very happy to hear that Alistair's tests came back clean.Comment

Yeah I'm happy also I was scared at first haha it should make for a great fight I just wonder what will happen if Brock can't get past overeem will Mr White now move brock so far back in the line that it will take 2-3 years before he get's another title shot.
I've watched MMA since 2000 and next year I think will be the best ever with all the great match ups we have coming our way.Comment

That's what I was originally getting at. Even in the extended preview when you Overeem's earlier fights he looks about the size of anderson silva with bulkier arms. I'm also a K-1 fan and have seen his fights in that organization as well... so while I'd be surprised if Brock HADN't done any roids in his life especially considering his WWE involvement, I tend to think he hasn't during his fighting career, while Alistar, to me anyway, obviously has. His muscles are kind of embarrassing in a way to me because it's like seeing a woman with DDD big fake knockers...but anyway.I don't know, Brock's had 6 fights in the UFC, 7 fights total in the U.S. since 2007.. I think he's been clean for a while now. He's never fought outside of the U.S.

But he ultimately passed the test, so it's all good. And that originally wasn't to say because he's done them he has some sort of advantage...I actually think Brock will win by knockout from ground and pound. Alistar's chin is suspect from what i've seen.
The fight I'm most looking forward to is Cerrone vs Diaz - I love this fight and will be supremely interested in it. I don't care for Diaz, but I like watching his fights. I'm a big Cerrone fan and will be pulling for him - I actually think Cerrone will stop Diaz! Cerrone will be fighting for a title in 2012 imo, and he should - I still think he won the 1st fight vs Benson.
I picked the winners on the UFC app on Xbox, but unlike aholbert I missed the boat on getting it free since it's "sold out" which SUCKS!!! lol (and kind of doesn't make sense??, but it does at the same time, I wonder what the cap is) That app is pretty awesome.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: UFC 141 - Lesnar vs. Overeem - Dec. 30th
I'm pretty excited for this card, although I still believe Alistair Overeem is an average fighter at best. K-1 strikers have always been overrated, they are not the best strikers in the world. There has never been a K-1 striker to transition into MMA and win a major World Title, the only exception is Cro Cop winning the Openweight Grand Prix in Pride. Alistair Overeem has been knocked out several times in the past, by LHW's. He's never fought a good HW since his miraculous growth spurt except for Fabricio Werdum, and he looked awful in that fight. I think Overeem's striking is above Lesnar's, but he would get blasted by Junior dos Santos or even Cain Velasquez standing. I expect Brock to take Overeem down with ease and finish him in the 1st or 2nd round on ground strikes. It doesn't matter either way, neither of them really poses a threat to the elite of the division.
I'm more excited for the Cowboy/Nate Diaz fight than any of the others. Those two are always in exciting fights, and Cowboy is starting to rub me the wrong way.. he's gotten very cocky because of his early success in the UFC. I don't think he's ready for a guy like Nate Diaz, but he'll hang in there and lose a split decision. Should be a great fight. I've always liked Jon Fitch, I know a lot of people think he's boring but I respect his style and work ethic, he should be able to beat Johny Hendrick.. I hope he manages a finish to shut some people up. Vladdy and Gustaffson is a great test for Gustaffson, I think he'll win but Vladdy is very dangerous and could pull an upset. I'm also glad to see Ross Pearson back after dropping a pretty shifty decision in his last fight.
Anyways, just my two cents on this one. I'm not as excited for the main event as others, but the rest of the card is outstanding and a really great way to close out the year.Kenny Bell with quote of the year: "I would play for Bo Pelini against Satan himself and a team of demons at the gates of the underworld."Comment

Re: UFC 141 - Lesnar vs. Overeem - Dec. 30th
Even though I disagree with you about Cowboy, I agree with mostly everything else.
I don't think Lesnar nor Reem could beat JDS or Cain, but I'd sure as hell still like to see it. Reem looks stiff, slow, no gas tank and has been dumped by LHW's. I don't really like him all that much as a fighter. Brock on the other hand can't take punches either, has no striking defense at all. I still expect Brock to take this.
Going back to Cowboy, he's always been like that. Nate Diaz is much "worse" than Cowboy in terms of being a brash prick. The two things I love most about the matchup is that they are similar in personalities and are two big LW's. Long guys with some differing striking skill sets but both effective. Same thing on the ground. It's gonna be one hell of a fight but I think this will cement Cowboy as a legit LW top tier guy.Comment
