Re: Which Team Should I start
I would go with the Bobcats, absolutely awful but they have a couple of nice young pieces in Kemba, and Bismack. Kemba develops extremely quickly, and Bismack is a beast defensively down low. You have to work on his offensive skills, but you can get him to about an 80-85 overall by about year five or so. Also if you're using draft classes, you're likely to get your pick of all the elite prospects. If you want to go for realism, you should "amnesty" Tyrus Thomas (set his salary to zero and release him), as that will likely be the case at the start of next season if not before. Also you could look to move Augistin's expiring contract for a young guy to build around, and maybe look to move Hendo for a draft pick, or a better shooter at the two position. Some people may say no to moving Hendo, maybe I just have trouble playing with him, not sure. If you amnesty Thomas, and manage to move Magette like I was able to, you can free up a ton of money. This can set you up really nicely with a couple of key moves to supplement the young talent on the team, and coming in with your first draft. Definitely a challenging rebuild, but I'm in year six of my Bobcats association on PC, and I've got them as a contender and a hot spot for FA now.
My starting five
PG: Kemba
SG: OJ Mayo (signed in FA)
SF: Nicolas Batum (moved Magette and a 2013 first in year 1 for some expiring deals from a contender with cap room to make space. I believe it was Indiana, who had Granger go down for the year but was still in a great spot in the East.)
PF: Anthony Davis
C: Bismack Biyambo
Sixth man is Tony Wroten
Enjoy your association...Last edited by spyder_DG; 05-08-2012, 09:11 AM. -
