    Better browser for HTML?

I'm still learning HTML and i have gotten frustrated a lot by it and the time it takes to enter it in a post. Still, it does clean up a lot of my threads and it is pretty sweet to look at. I do have one question...

Is there a better browser to use with HTML? Currently I use Internet Explorer on Windows 7 on my laptop but I still run into trouble trying to use color (specifically bgcolor). This is a normal HTML code I use to create color:

    HTML Code:
    <tr bgcolor="#FF0000"> </tr>
... to create a colored background for either a row or a single
    HTML Code:
    <td> </td>
cell. I usually only have trouble when creating boxscores or my game of the week previews (please see my dynasties in Football Dynasties for examples).

Is Google Chrome or something else a better browser? or am I still a crazy HTML noob? thanks in advance
