He's not that good on offense, but he runs the floor, blocks shots and gets a lot of rebounds. I don't remember his stats for the first game.

          2 Games Out West

I lost my stats when I recorded them, so I can only give scores.

CHA @ Sac - I lost by one point, 84-83, and Jason Hart had a really good game and led my team in points and assist.

CHA @ Phx - I beat this weak Phoenix team 93-87, although Steve Nash was having a field day against my point guards.

There were two very big early season trades made on Friday and Saturday night, both involving the Memphis Grizzlies.

Jason Williams (13.1 ppg, 7.4 apg) and Mike Miller have either not been playing well, or have been locker room nuiances for the Grizzlies, but both were placed on the trading block on Thursday night. The Dallas Mavericks did not hesitate to jump on the deal, and within days, they were able to make a trade for him.Jason Terry quickly did not fit well in the Dallas climate, and they sent him and his 13.2 points per game and 5.7 assist to the Grizzlies.

To help continue to lockdown the wings, Memphis has acquired defensive stopper Trenton Hassel from Minnesota as the anticipate Mike Miller soon being traded as well. Hassel is averaging 9.1 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game. Earl Watson was the player Memphis traded to compensate.

Charlotte finishes trip against Golden State

The Bobcats will finish their West Coast swing by playing @ Golden State. With a win tonight, they can go 2-2 over the trip, something to be proud of.

At the beginning of the game, Speedy Claxton took a lot of shots, and missed almost all of them. After he seemed to never find his game, he started to dish the ball to the hot man Jason Richardson. He was only heating up however. The Bobcats were spreading the ball around, and a lot of their buckets were coming from mid-range jumpshots and put backs and "garbage" points under the basket. It was a low scoring affair, 35-32 at the half.

At the beginning of the second half, Jason Richardson picked up where he left off. He single-handedly put away the Bobcats in the third quarter with an arrary of jumpshots, layups, and emphatic dunks to get the crowd righteous.

As they say, basketball is a game of runs, and Golden State finished the game with a big run, and won the game 89-78.

                  Charlotte Bobcats
Gerald Wallace 14 points, 5 rebounds
Emeka Okafor 14 points, 9 rebounds
Melvin Ely 14 points, 7 rebounds
Brevin Knight 6 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assist

                  Golden State Warriors
Jason Richardson 29 points, 12/23 FGs, 5 rebounds
Mike Dunleavy 18 points, 11 rebounds (7 offensive rebounds)
Speedy Claxton 4 points, 10 assist

                      Ric Bucher Reports...(Trade Rumors)

Ric Bucher reports that there are two potential moves to be made in the association this campaign. After the Mike Miller-Jason Williams incident, and Williams already taken care of, Memphis has put Mike Miller on the block. Miller could possibly move to Toronto for Alvin Williams, and Memphis would compensate for the loss of Jason Williams. Even though Jason Terry is now there, Williams is probably a better 'true' point guard.

Away from Memphis, Chicago's Kirk Hinrich expressed earlier this season that the team was going nowhere, and he wants to start winning. Chicago has already stated that they do not mind trading him since rookie Ben Gordon is playing well, and could get better with the absence of Hinrich. Chicago is just waiting for the best deal to pull the trigger on. A possibility is Hinrich sent to Toronto for Chris Bosh and a first round pick.

Toronto hs also expressed moving Rafer Alston, but the reason is not known as of now.

Have you given any thought to attempting to acquire Hinrich from the Bulls? I'm curious how desperate they are to get rid of him, since he's unhappy and everything. Maybe you could con 'em into making a bad trade.

Keon Clark was a good pickup, congratulations! I'm still having a lot of fun reading this Dynasty... keep up the good work!

Believe me, I'd seriously love to acquire Hinrich, but I just don't know if I have the guards to give up in order to make a fair trade. I'm happy with my forwards, but I have been thinking that I should just be patient and draft a guard. I have Chris Paul, JR Giddens and Carl Krauser in mind. That is, if any of these kids come out. Paul and Giddens are only Sophomores and Krauser is about to be a Junior. IF they come out, I'd want to get JR Giddens.
