Once A&M moves, things are going to blow up.

As a Kansas alum, I wouldn't mind us going to the Big East. Would love to see the match-ups with UConn, Pitt, Cuse, etc.

Now, geographically, I'd much rather go the Big Ten if the Big XII disappears. Bring K-State, KU, Mizzou and Notre Dame maybe to make it 16? Probably unrealistic but I think KU would be a great fit for both Bball and Football.

I also think the Mountain West Conference has a chance to really make some big moves to legitimize itself. Picking up Baylor, Houston, and (not happening probably) the Kansas schools and even ISU could be a big get.

Dennis Dodd Tweeted that Missouri or West Virginia is the SEC's 14th team. Take that for what it's worth (absolutely nothing).

There's so much false information available on Twitter and the like. It's a great rumor mill.

As a Nebraska fan, I'd love for KU, K-state, and Missouri to join the Big 10. Looking back on it, I think what should have happened is keep the Big 12 together, kick Texas out of the conference unless they share equally. So unfortunate that it had to go down this way. Hopefully Nebraska can start playing the Kansas teams in the non con on a regular basis...I think once everything falls apart that a lot of bridges will mend themselves. I already think that people who were pissed at Nebraska last year have now realized who the real problem is (Texas). I would find it hilarious if they had to go independent and nobody wanted to play them, lol. Even Stoops today said he could see the Texas/Oklahoma game ending.

Throwing money, logistics, etc. aside, I hope this can happen. As much as I dislike KU and Nebraska, it's fun to play them.

Suppsedly, the vote passed 10-1-1 (Mississippi voted no and Vanderbilt abstained) and Texas A&M is now invited into the SEC.

At tonight's SEC Presidents Meeting, early word filtering out from Atlanta indicates that Texas A&M received the sufficient votes to gain an invitation to join the Southeastern Conference effective 7/1/2012.

Sources at Texas A&M have indicated that a press conference will likely take place tomorrow following tonight's vote. It is expected that President R. Bowen Loftin will accept the invitation at the press event.

In other news, details are sketchy but sources also indicate that the SEC presidents gave SEC Commissioner Mike Slive the authority to negotiate with both Missouri and West Virginia to possibly be the fourteenth conference member.

I'll be curious to see if WVU is willing to give up their basketball ties to NYC in the Big East to join the SEC.

WVU would be gone in a heartbeat if offered (money talks), although I think that Missouri is the SEC's #1 target.

It would be kind of bittersweet to me as I would really hate to lose Big East basketball, but football season would be that much greater.

Adding Missou could mean Auburn moves to the East, that would be interesting to say the least. Definitely not going to lose the Auburn/Bama Protected rivalry, but might sacrifice Bama/UT in the process.....not sure I like that.
