Because the Pac-10 is a joke of a conference and is a cupcake skirt wearing conference...

LOL, yet the Pac 10 had a winning record against the Big 10 this year. Yet the Pac 10 3rd place team beat the Big 10 champs this year. Yet last years Pac 10 team routed the Big 10 co-champs in the Orange Bowl last year.

    Sorry try again.

The Pac-10 might be dominating the Big-10 recently, but you need to think realistically. Ohio State, Michigan, Iowa, Purdue- these teams are more physical than any Pac-10 team you can throw at them.
      UM Football National Championships

      1901 1902 1903 1904 1918 1923 1932 1933 1947 1948 1997

      UM Basketball National Championships

      1989

      Final Fours

Having seen these teams play significantly they are not more physical than USC. The rest of the Pac 10 that maybe true. USC physically domintated every team it played for the last 2 years, in conference or out. You don't rush the ball like they have if your not a physical football team, and their front 7 is as physical and athletic as any in the nation.

But yes I believe the Big 10 to be a more physical conference, USC is just the exception.

Normally, growing up in Big 10 country, I root for the Big 10 team in the Rose Bowl, no matter what....yes, even when it's Michigan. I'm really torn now, because I hate the BCS and would LOVE to see USC win the game and destroy any remaining credibility the BCS still has. On the other hand, I'm a Big 10 fan....

Even if I wasnt a Pac 10 homer, I would root for USC, just to stick it to the BCS.
