Legends locked because of lack of animations?

I know their money maker is mut
But what if another reason legends are locked and no era teams
Because EA don't want to put in the work to simulate every legends animations
Even all pro football had realistic legends animations

Well not exactly legends but they do keep animations for older players in-game still. You want LeSean McCoy's running style? It's there. Big Ben's QB stance, it's there.

Didn't EA Sports just spend a better part of the previous two development cycles completely rebuilding how their players animate?

I have to imagine making sure any football player on the field at all animates properly with their new tech is a significantly more important development focus than capturing player-specific animations for historic players who are not included on the game's present-day roster (and thus are only playable within Ultimate Team).

I mean obviously people would prefer true to life animations for legends but I think they would settle for what is available currently in the short term. They make due with it for MUT, all legends available in MUT should be able to import into roster or franchise and fully customize.

I have noticed that some of the legends in MUT don't even have face scans or portraits though.

WiiMaster, can you tell if they’ve kept QB cadences in there? I’ve often wondered why they don’t use Brady’s voice from M22, for example, when bringing him back via MUT/modding.

They do exist for many QBs, I don't know if they still have Brady's but considering they still have his signature stance, I would assume so.
