The CPU defense Run Commits way to often… and it’s a problem

I just broke the single game receiving yards (355 yards) and tied the single game receiving touchdown record (5 TD’s) with Brian Thomas in my Jaguars franchise. I am not even that good or a “stick God” I play on all pro with default sliders, 12 minute quarters with 15 second run off. Everytime the defense sets up to stop the run I simply audible into play action, and send Brian Thomas on a go route. He averaged 50 yards a catch for the game. The defense literally bites on the run EVERY FREAKING TIME. The defense simply run commits way to often even when it doesn’t have to. Etienne was 22 carry’s for 62 yards (2.81 ypc) so it wasn’t even like I was punishing them with ethe run (Seahawks). They just seem completely unconcerned with the pass regardless of how many times I beat them deep and only seem concerned with stopping the run. This game is so far away from where college football is at in terms of realism and the challenge it presents. I don’t understand why EA can’t just take CFB AI learning, and implement it properly in this game
