    Figured this group could help:

Patch 2 new offline franchise...before week 1 most of my backup OL have a season goal of 4800 RUSHING yards?!?!?

    Is that normal? Lol

Iam using the work around, however iam into my 4th season and I have a lot of players with 99 confidence. All pro dault is getting to easy and iam not getting the close games I was before. I might try removing the tuner just to see any effects.

I did try 1 game not using the work around but my qb got 4 +1 drive goals added to his performance.

Looks like I may have to restart to get these capped at +1 a game.

Iam using a ton of house rules with all pro dault to try and make things harder, but I fear I may have to step into the all madden waters to get back completive games.

Yeah the whole confidence is unbalance. You gain 5 and you lose 1. So sooner than later you are going to get all players at 99. And the game become really easy.

I bet that when you restart the franchise it will be much harder than the one you are playing now.

They need to remove this whole confidence thing

Think it'll be tougher? Most computer teams are filled with 99 confidence guys as well. At least in mine.

How about instead of playing all games out, forcing a loss every now and then if the game becomes too easy to win? Shouldn't this lower player's confidence, at least temporarily?

If you have a balance sliders. Confidence should be pretty balance. But in my opinion it's easier to go up than down.

Balanced sliders is the key, well I restarted my franchise after going 15-1 and won The Super Bowl, so restarting wasnt a big deal. I didnt want to end up where I was in 4 seasons winning every game so I made some changes from dault all pro.

All human sliders have been dropped to 40, except catching reaction and coverage, while all CPU have stayed at 50.
Not a huge differance but enough for me to lose the opener , haha why so happy because my qb actually lost 3 confidence points. I also dropped the game to 13 minutes with 13 second play clock..

What was happening was when I was winning, I was throwing 300+ yards a game, well there's +2 every game and if you threw 3 tds well put anther +2 on that plus add a couple for winning The game and so on. Everygame was + 10 and before you knew it your player was 99 and never coming down.

By the way I only controll the qb so only really focused on him.

E.A did a great drop job adjusting the confidence level, so iam not using the work around any more, I didnt receive a single +1 drive goal reward but instead went down -3, by adjusting the sliders and lowering the game time, everything is in place for an exciting season. Iam itching to play my next game, love it.

Hmm I don't want to spoil your enjoyment. But you will get drive goals somewhere. I got 4 on the last games. Drive goals are just cheating. That's how I see it. They give your confidence Bonous for completing a random goal. While cpu doesn't have them.

Don't get me wrong. I would love to have to stop using this workaround. Just cause I found it it doesn't make me want to use it. But I did restart a franchise after reading the drive goals were capped.

I'm 0-3 this is not a confidence for a 0-3 team should be.

                  First game.

                  2nd game

                  3rd game

You may get some games were you get 0 confidence from drive goals but these are not capped

I played all pro default and I lost all 3. So sliders are not only the key. Drive goals make the whole system unbalance. At least to me.

I can't play with any kind of drive goals. Because when I get 1+ because I had a drive goal it should be reading 0.

Drive goals are tune down significantly. It seems. Not all drive goals give you confidence. Is more common to have games with 1 or 2 instead of 6 as before patched.

                          It's personal preference.
Sims game doesn't get any confidence from drive goals. If you don't mind having 1 or 2 increases over the cpu you don't need it.

If you want a level ground. You should.

That was going to be my next question lol, do we still need to use this workaround or has the issue been addressed completely with the new patch? Does the drive goals still give us an unfair advantage through the season?

But once you are a season or two in, quite a few guys are in the 90's confidence wise on human and cpu controlled teams and will it really matter by then? Well, I guess you would get others confidence up higher.

I just played a week 12 game and forgot to turn confidence off. Everyone got +6 or +7 even third stringers who didn't play. *sigh*

No matter the season. You get more confidence than cpu teams. Yeah after all players get 99. It won't matter since its capped at 99.
