I have my passing and catching sliders at -5 from default.

            Re: Passing too easy?

I have not had this problem Teddy. You may want to reduce human passing, catching, and running along with increasing cpu coverage, running, tackling, and pursuit. It seems to me that pursuit plays a huge part in how well the CPU defends the pass. Pursuit not only equates to how fast defenders run down the ball carrier, but it influences how fast defenders react to a thrown ball as well.

I have seen the CPU react much better to thrown balls because of this. Hopefully you can find a balance that works for you.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

there is also a coverage slider. Move Coverage, Persuit, and tackle all the way to the left. The game will be much, much mor challenging after that!!!!

Move to the LEFT???.....dont you mean move it to the RIGHT for an increase in CPU defensive difficulty?

                              Now Im confused
