I can't imagine not using it. It's essential for the fade routes, and if you hot-route a receiver to a fly route (if you notice the CB is playing man 1-on-1 and no safety help), you can frequently take it to the house by leading the receiver a step on the CB - otherwise he'll get tackled right away. But you have to FEATHER it, as was mentioned - any more than a slight touch and that ball will be long gone...Comment

I used to back on the Dreamcast but once I started running plays the way they're supposed to be ran I stopped using Maximum Passing. 2K5 is the best the passing game has been in the 2K/ESPN series. The passes lead your receivers better and putting touch on the passes is easier in 2K5 too.Comment
