Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
The backbreakers devs image of the game they developed was for it to be a first person experience. Adding in any other camera angle would ruin there original artistic idea. The real question that should be asked is why are so many people down on the idea of playing football from the players perspective? The game is what it was meant to be.Comment

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
I don't play the EA football so I couldn't tell you what choices are in those games.Explain why it's going too far? So what if i have two other fball games that i can play with the traditional camera.... I want to play BB that way too or at least have tye option to do so...
Isn't this one of the BIG issues with the other fball games?? Not providing the user with choices?Comment

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
I understand the people who want options but to the people that don't like it because it has a learning curve or too difficult to take the time to get used to it
I personally like that it's something different and it's undeniably more realistic than any other camera view, but it's not perfect. You can find flaws,go figure.Comment

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
For the million time.THE DEVS WANTED AN ON THE FIELD EXPRINCE NOT A GOD VIEW GAME IF YOU GOD CAM PEOPLE DONT LIKE THAT THEN DON"T BUY THE GAME.Again, for the umpteenth time, this has nothing to do with any other game (especially non-sport games, still don't know why they are being brought up) people are here, in this forum to discuss this game because we are interested in THIS GAME.
Stop deflecting by bringing up any other game. We are simply asking, why is there no other camera option?Last edited by lofeazy; 05-26-2010, 05:03 PM.Comment

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
I guess i should be thanking Rob and the boys @ 505 for the lack of options. They saved me $52.99.I understand the people who want options but to the people that don't like it because it has a learning curve or too difficult to take the time to get used to it

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
And as I have pointed out several times, that is the point I am debating.
For a game that needs to succeed to produce its successor, they are appealing to a very limited amount of gamers.
You seem to be forgetting we are all on the same side here, I know the cool thing to do is try and produce flame wars between games, but we all want this to succeed believe it or not.
I understand it was their "vision" and can appreciate that, I just don't think it would have been difficult or unbeneficial to add another camera and I certainly don't agree with the argument presented that it would ruin their artistic idea.
The physics are just as nice from any view.Comment

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
Apparently the camera will be slightly different in the retail copy. It will be pulled back more. It was confirmed by a dev (I don't have a link). But you can see the difference by looking at demo videos on youtube vs the tutorial videos they've posted on Running, Passing, and Defense.Comment

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
Here what I going to say maybe the devs had a god-view,but the anmations didn't look right form that view.So they went 3rd person instead. But maybe there are some problems with the engine in god-view.And as I have pointed out several times, that is the point I am debating.

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
There's no reason the Devs cant patch the Camera angle and give us different options....The argument over which camera angle is better is stupid and the fact of the matter is like anything else that is created to attain a profit, it needs to meet the consumers demand to make money which is the end state....and just by reading the BB and this forum adding an option for a different camera angles would make a lot of people happy.First of all, I TOTALLY agree with you. But how do you know it's something they can patch? I'm hoping you are right and that they really consider giving us at least one traditional camera view option in Backbreaker I, not II. But I doubt it.
This whole topic boils down to one question, and it's not "which camera angle is more realistic?" or "which is better?". We each have our own reasons for liking one of them over the other. The question is simply "should there be a camera angle OPTION in the game"? Bottom line. My answer is an emphatic "Yes".Comment

Re: Your very own camera argument thread.
See, this is the type of post that isn't productive on ANY front to a thread. Lol @ majority of the people claiming Backbreaker to be perfect in this forum. Somebody has a flair for the dramatic, and I'm sure there will be those who will get tired of the game as they spend time with it. That happens with any game, but what does that have to do with getting extra camera angles into Backbreaker again?
Hmm, so now that you have your mind made up already, really no point in you being in here.
This is a very risky design decision on part of Backbreaker developers to just go with one optional camera. It's almost comparable to All-pro deciding not to include a franchise mode in their game, or not giving the player more customization options. I will say however that its a little far-fetched to say that they are appealing to a limited amount of gamers because of the camera due to the fact that the sale numbers aren't in. The camera will inevitably turn some people off, but there are some who will buy simply off the strength of it offering something different and new. And technically speaking, they are already appealing to a niche audience seeing as though they aren't offering a brand of football with a license. And as I have pointed out several times, that is the point I am debating.

I can definitely agree with something like this; can never go wrong with more options as long as they would have made sure the online portion of the game was played on a even playing field.Last edited by Epiffani; 05-26-2010, 05:47 PM.
