Re: PS4/XB1 Visual comparison
I want one as well, however will wait till next year before deciding. Let the prices drop a lil and who knows what will be out by then!Cutscenes definitely seem 1080p. Actual gameplay is like either 720p or 900p.
Colors are "popping" more though. Good find. It's enough for me to leave it at 'Full'.
And yes, I'm definitely in the market for a new TV. I want a 4K, but my wife is putting up a huge fight on that...lol.Comment

Re: PS4/XB1 Visual comparison
The good thing though with the PS4 is that you can switch to full and back while still in the game. On the PS3 you had to turn off the game to acess the consol settings.
But as I've said, if you switch to full, but your TV to limited (or if TV doesn't support full) what your actually doing is degrading the overall picture... but in rare cases like this, it could be percieved as "better" by the player.
Exactly, that is perfect example of crushing the blacks. You have converted grey colors to black.I like the XB1 color scheme so I think I'll stick w/ FULL setting on PS4. I really noticed it when the game loads and you get the PS4 controller screen, the background is completely black. When I had it on automatic, and depending on my brightness setting, I can see a halo of grey around the controller picture. IN FULL it's completely ultra black.
So while the game on the ice might look good, imagine a shooter by night time, or watching a bluray with a lot of dark scenes.
In that case I assume your TV supports full, or is on auto. And if that is the case you shouldn't see any difference at all.I switched to 'Full' also, and I'm only noticing a slight difference. I have a 2010 52" Sammy LCD.
PS4 FULL+TV FULL compared to PS4 LIMITED+TV LIMITED should produce the exact same result. Only when the settings are mixed should you see any difference, and quite a big difference (especially in darker areas).
Thank you EA - This game is officially better than sexComment
