Over/Under: How many majors will Tiger win from here on?

Interesting note I heard the other day on the radio; Tiger is heading into his final major before turning 37. What is the significance? He is 4 away from tying and 5 away from break the record for most major victories professionally.

Here are some stats, only 1, count it, 1 golfer has won more than 3-4 majors after turning 37. On top of that, only a few more, I believe 2 or 3 others, won multiple majors after turning 37.

Basically, what was once an inevitable lock, is now more along the lines of 'impossible'.

What do you guys think? Does he do it?

      It would be remarkable.

I'm going under. I think it's tougher now and he is not what he once was. If he wins the PGA's coming up, it would probably change my mind.

I heard an interview Tiger did the other day from the PGA venue. He remarked that Jack won his last major at 46 so he thinks that gives him 10 more years. I don't think Jack won many majors in his 40's and the way Woods is putting these days I am not sure he'll win 20. I do think he passes Jack but obviously it ain't the lock it once was.

The problem with tiger these days is this new swing of his has caused him to lose the ability to shape his shots like he used to. He was the master of it and could shape shots anyway he wanted which meant that he had little trouble adjusting to any course and that's why he didn't miss a cut for years and was such a dominant player.

Now he primarily fades the ball and hits alot of low stingers where it's almost mechanical and while he does it well, it also limits his effectiveness to courses where you need draw a lot (like Augusta which may be the big reason he did so badly this year at the Masters). That's why he has been up and down this year, winning some tourneys and then missing the cut the very next week. He's still a very good player but not a cut above anybody and that new swing will continue to make him inconsistent depending on the course.

I really don't think that this swing will give him the ability to win the Masters anymore and he better hope the other major venues suit his new swing for him to have a chance to break Jack's record.

I think he's back on the right track. He has 3 wins against good fields this year and, if I'm not mistaken, leads the money list and Fed Ex Cup list while playing in fewer tournaments than the rest of the top players. The problem isn't so much with Tiger these days, it's that the talent pool is deeper and has caught up to him compared with his younger days.

He's in the hunt right now for the second straight major. Will he win another major? Absolutely, and probably more than 1. It's going to be tough to break Jack's mark. But I'm going to say over because I want him to do it.

And on a side note, I hope Adam Scott wins 0 majors with that *** Steve Williams on his bag. I thoroughly enjoyed him pissing away the British Open.

Competition is so much harder now with all these young guns coming up. But really it just seems that its one bad round from tiger that takes him out of contention usually happens on a saturday, maybe he should skip saturdays or something
