Graphics settings options poll
There are several "On" or "Off" options that 2K could enable in PGA TOUR 2K25 which would enhance the gaming experience for many would would use them if they were simply made available. They're already there in the PC version, they are simply not made available to console version owners for whatever reason.

Re: Graphics settings options poll
I voted to have both added because I find them beneficial to the look and performance of the game on the PC version, where they are selectable options. I find that vsync OFF allows the game to find its best performance level, particularly if you have a display that is compatible with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).
As for Depth of Field, I understand what it's trying to accomplish artistically, but I find that it's effects are overstated and tend to blur things out at too short a distance. I also find that when it's on, it imposes a detectible frame rate hit. In my opinion, the game both looks better overall and performs better with DOF "OFF".
Just curious to get the community's views on this. I might be the only one who is geeky enough to fret over something like this. Interested in reading others thoughts on this though.Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach Cutcliffe -
Re: Graphics settings options poll
I had a pretty good idea that this poll wasn't going get the attention of many. The low turnout shows me that graphics settings in a console game aren't that much of an item in the minds of a lot of gamers. So I learned as much from the low response as I do the actual responses themselves.... namely, I'm an overly obsessive tech geek!
It's hard to figure out a way to title and present a thread like this that is sexy enough to get a lot of attention, so I'll factor that into the equation as well.
There is one question that has arisen in my mind after seeing the results we do have, and that's this... we have two votes for "Neither Option Added". I'm curious, if it is presented as an "option", why would you not want the option to be included for the segment of the user base who would use them?
I remember Depth of Field being a setting option in the "Golf Club 2" on the PS4 and XBox One, and it made a huge difference there both in improving the graphics (IMO anyway) and boosting the frame rate noticeably. Why would you consciously choose to not provide that option for those who wanted it? I'm sure there are reasons for this choice that are escaping me and I would like to read the reasoning behind this choice?Duke Football? Hell yes it's Duke Football! --- Coach CutcliffeComment

Re: Graphics settings options poll
Just saw this and it is very interesting.
I always feel that the more options we get, especially one's that can affect performance, the better. I suppose on a console that all people are all playing with the same basic CPU abilities and really, only the monitor matters.
However, playing the game on PC has to account for so may different combinations of parts and such, that having more options is imperative. Running an 1080 vs a 4080 or having 8 GB Ram vs 64. Then there are the chips to consider as well. Each computer will require very different settings so that means more options are needed.
As for why they don't have them, I am unsure. Maybe they figured that no one changes them anyway so why have them.Comment
